Busy Grandma....I would love to be a Granny x

yep, including ours this will be grandchild number 6 in 5 and a half years! There are 5 of us though, and only sister who's just announced pregnancy has more than one, so I expect we'll end up over 10 in a few years time. We no longer fit in the dining room at home, will have to start a children's table in the kitchen next christmas!

I'd love a homebirth. Like you Savage I'm only a mile or so from the hospital should I need to get there quickly. I find it a bit pointless really to stay at home for as long as possible then go in if I can stay at home for the duration.

I won't be having one because 1) OH REALLY not keen and him not being keen has made me more nervous about it too so I'm not about to insist I have one 2) I've known from pretty early on a Csection is fairly likely for me :(. If that wasn't the case I would have done hypnobirthing and felt more confident about home birth but it's just too much money to spend if I don't get to use it. Even if it turns out I don't need a csection now I won't feel as "prepared" for labour IYKWIM. I've got a hypnotherapy CD for labour but I don't think that's as good as the course.

I don't think I'm going to have the birth I'd ideally like but at the end of the day getting baby out safely is all that matters!

Oh wow. I think I finally found the new + latest thread!

Just thought I'd join in. Due 22nd December so I've got just under 11 weeks left. I'm 24 and this is my first baby. Me and the OH moved in together and found out I was pregnant in the same week so it's been a lot to get used to.

Currently working my usual 40hr week, down to 20 next month though... then maternity leave starts from 7th December, using up the holidays I have left.

Today - Feeling knackered! Rather light headed and found out Friday that I'm anaemic (might have something to do with it lol). Other than that I've been all fine and dandy and just avoiding thinking about things too much and stressing out!

Congrats to all the other expectant ladies here, gonna be nice to get to know you all :)

Oh and if anyone hasn't yet, I'd highly recommend registering with Emma's Diary and collecting your free packs (much like the Bounty one's I'm sure you've all heard of... but with much more "physical" freebees :))

hey bamama! welcome and huge congrats! :) you are due 2 days before me, so let's see who goes first! :)

the tiredness is such a killer isnt it? i felt faint in the morning on the tube and i thought it is due to the preg but also i was starving...lol. i am just not with it at work and leave around the same time as you. if i put my holidays on before the 7th then i can leave on the 1st. i should do that as tempted as iam to use up some holiday to chill out. welcome on here... do you know what you are having?

Wish I had more holidays to finish even earlier but I used up nearly a weeks worth having little breaks for myself after we moved :)

Don't know what I'm having, I really want the surprise in the delivery room. Have you found out yourself? (I haven't read back very far yet lol).

Yep the tiredness is a killer. It went away for a good couple of months in the middle, back with a vengeance now though!

I'm with you on the lack of space in the house btw. I ruthlessly chucked things out when we moved in and told the OH that nothing was to go up the attic incase we couldn't stay (with it being a 6 month contract to begin). Now the whole house is full of his stuff! Books and bags of teddies are gather dust in my attic ><

no we didnt find out either (even though i was dying to). i have it written on a piece of paper for me, and i havent peaked! :)

lucky that you had a break from the tiredness. i have had it throughout.:( today iam struggling at work and just want to sleep. i am surprised that we have managed to collect stuff and have so much clutter! we even have 3 freezers and DH wont get rid of one as he is so attached to it and then used the baby excuse. why do we need three? he is mad. thought women hoarded!

HAHAHA, ok you have it much worse than me. 3 freezers is just wrong. 2 maybe... but not 3!

Get your head down for a bit. Sure noone will mind you having a quick nap at your desk. Hell I fell asleep on the chair in my boss's office for an hour a few months ago and she just left me there lol!

wow lucky you. my lovely manager is on maternity leave now and i miss her. the guy covering her, i dont think quite gets it. need to sort out my handover soon too and i cant wait. might go for a walk to see if can be awake. my god, 3 hours left yet..:(

yeah we had one freezer that DH had when he was single and in his house, so he brought that along, and then we bought a fridge freezer, and i admit the freezer on that was small and we ran out of space. Then his mum gave us a slimmer one that opens above, so it fits so nicely near the fridge freezer. this was given to us in the hope of us getting rid of the other one that DH brought but he is so damn attached to it. such an eye sore and its in what would have been our dining room. right now there is a freezer there, and junk which we moved from upstairs to downstairs when we had our carpets done. feel like we are students there.

My boss is awesome fair play to her. I'm treated like family (and nearly was... but that's another story). I'm the only non-family member here which can be difficult. Part of the reason why I like to take time off lol.

Couldn't you say it has broken down due to some freak "accident" and then remove it from the house?

You are entitled to extra breaks being pregnant btw. Did read somewhere that companies are supposed to have a comfortable area for you to relax in (even including a camp bed if the company was big enough).
