All pregnant women feel faint at times and all pregnant tums feel rock hard at times.

Here's some possible explanations.. at your stage of pregnancy, your blood volume's really increasing. This can lead to feeling light-headed, palpitations etc. It usually subsides around 32 weeks onwards.

The tightness might be Braxton Hicks! Particularly if it comes and goes (like a contraction). Even if it's there all the time - don't worry about it. I remember my tum feeling like a rock some days, and quite blobby on others. A lot depends on how the baby's lying.

    This ^
Although I never thought that the tightness could be BH - just thought that it was baby growing / lying funny. I've not had any strange pains or twinges and it's only if I feel the bump I notice it's hard.... I was wondering if I was going to get any BH, maybe I am already!

FLUFF!!! yay.. i was wondering whether you would reply and you did. thanks hon... You know how bad i was before? i have calmed down quite a lot but with today's feeling of fanitness and me nearly passing out, i got a bit worried. i feel some sort of movement now. so iam starting to calm down. also at work,so its so hard to monitor stuff. bubs was quiet at night too, even though i felt some bits here and there. the tummy feeling tight is weird. yes i am not 28+3 today. just keep worryng about bubs. hugs..x

28 - 32 weeks is the peak time for palpitations and feeling faint, lovey. I had terrible palpitations around this time - some days I thought I couldn't breathe properly. It's uncomfortable but it's nowt to worry about.

BHs can start at any time. Some women even get them from the first few months onwards although they're much more common in the third trimester, increasing in frequency the closer you get to dropping. Is the tightness constant? If so, I bet your baby's got itself into a weird position.

The thing with pregnancy.. your body's continually changing. No sooner have you got used to feeling a particular feeling, some other symptom develops. This 'newness' is what alarms you; because you've not felt this tightness before you think it's something to worry about. The fact is, it's simply because your bubs is now getting quite big and starting to run out of room. From now on, depending on position, you'll feel tight sometimes. This increases and by your eighth month you'll feel tight all the time, because your baby's getting really big.

Don't worry about new feelings. Things change all the time. It's all normal, trust me.

yeah the tightness is still there. was a bit stronger before. i thnk because i am thinking about it too, and that is not helping. it was the addition of feeling faint and nauseous too and i thought wth is going on?
