Hiya ladies, I hope everyones well, I haven't read anything since Friday but will try to catch up when i get 5 mins.

I'm a queue jumper - Lara-Rae arrived on Saturday 29th Sept at 7.40pm, 6lb 15 oz.

Quick story - waters started trickling in the early hours so got checked out at hospital told to come back Sunday for induction if not in active labour.

At 1.30pm Sat afternoon my waters properly went and the contractions were full on every 3 mins - ladies I cannot recommend a TENS machine enough I went straight onto level 2 and it stayed on till the end! After 3 hours at home I was shouting i want an epidural so my DH called the hospital and they let me come in for a check. He wheeled me in and I was 5cm. Went to the toilet and felt the need to push but I still wanted an epidural. As I was grunting (very attractive) she examined me again and i was 9cm in 20 minutes. An hour and half later a doctor peformed a ventouse delivery with local injection as my blood pressure was very high.

So far so good, but unfortunately the placenta got partly stuck so got wheeled off for a removal under general in theatre then had a blood transfusion. Stayed in for 3 days and back home now. DH has been wonderful running round after us both, apart from a load of medication and feeling a little faint from the blood loss I'm really well and not in any pain. She is such a little cutie, I will try to upload a pic if possible.

I feel awful this morning, I've had a sore throat for 2 days which I thought was my reflux getting worse again, but no coughing so I think I might be coming down with a cold, boo! took me ages to get to sleep as Beanie was so active yesterday, and then was randomly awake for hours in the middle of the night too, so not feeling up for our quarterly project review meeting in 10 minutes :eek:

Moneypenny, I get random pains in my bits, have done for a few weeks now. Sometimes when I'm walking along I suddenly feel like I've been stabbed/kicked down there and have to stand still (and try not to shout ow if I'm in public!)

I know I am probably getting ahead of myself here but does anyone know if scans are done on xmas eve? I will be 20weeks xmas day and me and OH have already decided we want to find out if it’s a boy or a girl and if we find out xmas eve that would be an amazing present!!!!

Probably depends on your hospital but they usually don't scan before 20 weeks has passed. When you get an appt through ring and say that day isn't great can you change it to 24th? I always change mine x
