baby here is ravenous at the moment. I ate twice as much meat as normal last night....and then didn't feel full and had some cake!
  • Baby likes cake. Baby also likes chocolate, snack a jacks, cherry Coke and tomatoes.

Baby is not such a fan of 'proper' food.

I keep on forgetting to eat properly as I don't fancy anything savoury, it's not ideal!

I don't very much fancy salads or veggies, although I do fancy fresh fruit juice, apples and sometimes cauliflower with mayonnaise. I put mayonnaise on every boiled/steamed veggie, not too healthy! I tried not long ago a recipe of cauliflower grilled with lemon juice, and I must admit it was tasty and different.

savage, the place is nice, the water is warm and they give you coffee/tea at the end in a little room. There isn't a coffee machine and the machines have mainly crisps and chocolate bars, I would take something for afterwards, I was dead hungry when I finished. Take also £1 coin for the locker. People wore swimsuits, bikinis or even just t-shirts on top of old bikinis. When I went, we started just after 12, which is the time they open the swimming pool anyway, do not worry if you are late. I found that 45min was a bit too much for me to start with! Lol. Then we stopped at 12:45, got ready and waited on the little room by reception (ask there), the midwife generally goes and answers whatever question you have, not necessarily related to the aquanatal, but anything else. When I went there was no coffee session, first time ever apparently, but we stayed there anyway talking to each other until 1:30pm.

  • In my defence... I haven't had a kitchen for the past 5 weeks, as we've been having building works done at our house (because having building works done just before your baby is born is the IDEAL time to do it!) so I've been a bit limited to a) food I can buy on my local high street, and b) things I can eat on my bed as we've got nowhere else to sit.

And cake fills both of those criteria :)

I'm constantly ravenous at the moment, and always looking in the cupboards for a little something to keep me going. I have snack products *everywhere* too, handbag, car, desk drawers etc! I'm not normally a snacker, but now I can't go more than about 90 minutes without eating something or I start feeling peculiar :o
