  • congrats sexymouse! you are a boldie!

i dont blame you on the not getting dressed thing MMM - feel the same tbh.

woke up feeling very low today. had regular painful contractions last night, but they petered out. woken up thru the night with pains, and a lovely vomiting acid incident. awake at 7 today and nothing more.... 40 + 6 today and i just want to get back under the covers and cry.

Hugs for Mummyoftwo - that doesn't sound pleasant. Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep during the day.

MMM I wouldn't bother getting dressed if I didn't have to go food shopping. Any clothes that are on my bump at the moment feel prickly and make me itch - think my bump has become extra sensitive lately. There's no sign of a rash though.

My furbaby is upstairs and has just rubbed around my legs to let me know he's here - trouble is, he's also just been out in the rain! lol
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I bought our moses basket from Woolworths it's a Ladybird one and was on special offer so got it for £16.20 and it's really nice. Got a pair of curtains to match for £11 too.

We've also got the carrycot on the pushchair and a crib in our room as well as a cotbed in Jakey's room x

No point moaning about it SM, it's 9 months of my life and the reward at the end is amazing. Plus I know just how lucky I am to be pregnant and have got this far. There are lots of people who never get that.

Ikkle this is exactly what I feel. I'm really lucky being pregnant and I like to see only the good part of the pregnancy.

Morning all. I'm having relaxing today. Had a busy Saturday (shopping for our little one :D).

Re: Argos moses basket. We didn't get one but a friend did and he highly recommended. His baby was quite big and started moving quite early so his argument was that it wasn't worth paying a fortune for something that was going to be used only for a few months.

We had a chilled day yesterday and went cinema in the evening. It's getting a bit more difficult for me to stay put for 2 hours plus but I'm hoping I can make it for a little longer.

I had several people saying/asking 'so your baby will be here next time we see you?' when I'm seeing them in a couple of weeks (due in 4 wks). I no longer think that baby will be early but I'm a bit scared that I still haven't got my hospital bag sorted. Sorry if I keep going on about it, but I just don't see the rush. Well, maybe I should say I didn't see the rush. I'm slightly panicking now so I'm off to the shops in a bit to get the last things and I'll pack it tonight or tomorrow at the very latest. Off topic: the sun is shining here :)

I didn't pack the bag for me until 37 weeks bikelesschick, and I still have to put things in at the last minute eg. water bottles, maternity notes, birth plan etc - have a checklist in the drawer so know what is missing from it still.

Thanks ikkle, I went to the website but the offer is gone :( I do like a couple of Argos moses, I wanted something simple in cream/white/simple pattern. I want to keep it for the next one and I wanted it neutral. DH liked one we saw at another Mothercare which was on offer, should have bought it then!! We'll try to go again and see if we can find it before deciding.

On the bottles, I am very undecided. I wanted some anticolic ones but those that mimic the breast aswell, so baby can start and stop at will, and it is easier to combine breastfeeding and bottle. So far, I think only the Medela Calma and one model of the Tommee Typpee do that. Anyone here with previous experience?
It is going to be a present from my MIL, but I do not want to ask for the most expensive one, if we find one we like within a more reasonable price.

Oh, cake!!!! :D That is very nice of her, is that a foot sticking out on the belly? Lol

29 weeks today. I can't wait to get into the 30s!

My best of advice as well is keep an eye on the Grabbits board on here as you can get some good deals for baby stuff, or even save money on xmas pressies for other people leaving more money for baby stuff.

Don't be afraid to buy 2nd hand - I've started buying 2nd hand baby clothes and had some gorgeous stuff for some fantastic prices. He's still got about 300 brand new items but I've started to be a bit more money savvy now.

If you are buying 2nd hand stuff on ebay ending on a Sunday evening is more expensive than stuff ending mid day through the week.

Look on the discount codes board as well as you may find a few codes for places like Argos, H&M, mothercare etc.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
