Mishka's post has me thinking now - any suggestions for box sets to get? Like I said in my earlier post, we don't have a TV so I probably won't have seen whatever it is. I have seen all the Footballer's Wives, I think, probably seen quite a few desperate housewives, and we did take out the first series of 24, other than that I'm open to suggestions!

    Series I have loved:

    Sopranos
The West Wing (My breast feeding show!)
    24 (My favourite)
    The (American) Office
    The Big Bang Theory
    Rules of Engagement
    Damages
    Suits
    Downton Abbey
  • What sort of thing do you like Savage?

I'm stocking up at the moment - I've got both series of Life On Mars and all three Ashes to Ashes, Teachers, Outnumbered, things like that.

Also on my list is Game of Thrones, and I've been eyeing up the Big Bang Theory boxed sets but not convinced that they're worth the money as I've seen them all!

Also *whispers* lots of these are available online if you search for them *looks around furtively*
  • Dizsie - it's sounding like she has a bit of an issue that you will no longer do as she wants. You are right - it's a maturity thing. I'd have thought after 13 years friendship she would know you well and realise that you aren't saying these things to be awkward. I can see why you're annoyed. I have no useful suggestions (I never really do) however as I have never had this problem with my friends. I must admit - it makes me very grateful for the amazing friends I do have - they're the sort I can ring at 2am and they'll come over if I need them - even if they live in England, Scotland and Austria (and I so don't!) Lol!

Box sets - I love CSI:NY and The West Wing. Also love The Big Bang Theory but have seen nearly all of them too so don't think it's worth it.

CL - I have a Boppy pillow (same thing as the Widgey) and I love it. Made it so much easier especially when DS got heavier!

    Hi Mountainmum -welcome.

Twinklie - love the branston pickles! :rotfl:

Having a minor wobble re my 20 week scan tomorrow. Haven't really thought about it up until now. Just want everything to be ok. Threfore will add the below and think positive thoughts!

    Feel good list 18/9/12

sexymouse - go into town and enjoy a nice Starbucks decaff latte with a piece of cake (only spending my luncheon vouchers).
moneypenny21 - Only woke up twice in the night and have the day off work hurrah!!
Rups- Go and get myself a lovely perfume at lunch time to smell nice
Marta - Bake a Victoria cake and have a piece with DH when he is back
Morocha- Go for a walk and plan a lovely meal for today, something i never cooked before.

Dizsie - Snuggle with my Mr when I get home and then have a nice bathtime together (always cheers me up love him!)
mummyoftwo - had a stroll into town, bought new craft things to start making some pretty thank you cards for baby pressies, and a cake from Greggs. Enjoying it with a brew before I go to pic up my little fella from school.
Nephthys - Finsh work and pick up my DS from nursery - the smile and hug never fail to cheer me up and then tomorrow I get to see new baby at 20 week scan.

I'm figuring for late night half awake entertainment I'll be a bit less picky and probably things that don't require too much concentration (so while I love CSI if I can concentrate for a full hour, doubt it'll work too well!) . Sitcoms or dramas (rather than mystery/thriller) probably best - not too picky if I can get them from the library :D.

Welcome mountainmum! I would keep an eye on Freecycle, my local one had last week2 cots, a baby sterilizer, clothes and a baby bath. It is up to the owner who they give the stuff to, but you have a few months to keep an eye, good things go quickly though. Argos has a few items half price until the 25, nursery and baby event. Ebay and gumtree also have stuff regularly.
I am on my phone so typing is a pain!
At the end, my feel good list has changed! My DH called me before lunch and asked if I wanted to go with him to a meeting, well, to the cafe next door in a lovely place nearby my MIL. So he brought me lunch, we had an hour drive together and dropped me off at this cafe, where I am eating eton mess cake whilst waiting for MIL, and he will meet us both after work; isn't he a star? He is great :)

Rups, I hope u are having a better afternoon, getting annoyed at hubby might only drivehim away from home to more socialising stuff, which is the opposite of what you wamt. When I go into that state, I try to give him more reasons to spend time at home

We don't really bother with DVD's, we have Netflix but tbh I'm bored of that think I've watched anything on it of real interest to me as I don't really sleep very well so normally have it on through the night. Think it took me about 2 weeks to watch 7 seasons of Shameless lol. Might look at getting Lovefilm though but just the £4.99 one where you watch it on the xbox. x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
  • Milliebob and emsbet - many congratulations!
Sexymouse - the way you described your belly is exactly the same as mine, hard on the left, lots of kicks on the right. Mw told me that this means (disclaimer: it meant, in my case, during the appointment) that baby was head down with the back on the left, which is, according to her, the best position for birth - so maybe he's getting ready? I hope Bean makes an appearance soon.
    Welcome to the thread mountainmum.
Mishka - I'm assuming the boxset wasn't advertised as copies so I don't get it why you need to pay for return postage??
