i know its that guilt we feel. but you are right. i am useless at work rght now and just thinking about how tired i am. i am going to ring is as i need to sleep.

katyliz, yep he is still there and when i told my mum i want him to leave soon, she said not to be so mean and not to put pressure on DH to kick him out. We are all tired but he always says he is exhausted. you have to ask him to do stuff and he will do it but no common sense about doing it himself. I am slightly fussy with the way he washes up (when he is asked that is) and DH tells me not to but he doesnt do it properly and leave oil and food on plates still. I dont want to patronise him and say, can you use the spnge with soap please and not the dirty water from the sink?

Dizsie, how do you win the stuff? i never win anything? you ladies are getting such great stuff.. please ssshhhhharre. :)

I've jumped on the poor sleep bandwagon now. :( I've hardly slept the last 2 nights thanks to bloomin' heartburn which I've not even suffered with throughout the whole of the pregnancy. I'm 38+3...why start now?

Lucky you! Where do you work?

My SIL was over from the States this week and was telling me her company pay for 2 rounds of IVF if you need it!

I work for a large (global) FMCG company :) I know we're really lucky, it's one of the reasons we waited so long to start our family as you have to work here for a certain length of time to qualify, otherwise you only get statutory, which makes a huge difference financially.

I can't believe a company would pay for IVF, that's amazing! We get private medical insurance, but fertility treaments/investigations aren't covered. Shame the maternity leave in the states is so pants that they don't give women much time off to spend with the babies after all that!

    Afternoon peeps :j

Welcome to all the new arrivals!

I'm feeling lazy again today :o Just thinking I should probably go and have a shower. Have to go for another driving lesson at 4.45, but should be able to get some jobs done before that if I can get my backside into gear. Got up late today as slept really badly last night. I felt really sick when I went to bed, and then kept waking up feeling sick and refluxy and being all fidgety and not being able to get comfy. Then dribbly cat decided to come and trample across my head and keep poking her paw in my face, and stupid cat went on a mission to fling everything off the shelf of my bedside cabinet

Ikkle I love your little furry addition, he's so cute. We got stupid cat when he was about 7 / 8 weeks old, and he was just so cute, with his little wobbly walk. He always slept in really odd positions too, either on my shoulder or right under my chin. Only trouble was that he was so small and dark that he just blended in with the sofa, so he nearly got squished a few times :o

I mean the winning bid on ebay....

I find what I want and add it to my watch list...don't bid until the last 30 mins of the auction...even the last couple mins if I can watch it then. I find tyhat the auctions that end in the middle of the day on a weekday are the easiest to win at a low price :)

Poor you :( Sleep sitting up if you can on lots of pillows, avoid anything acidic at night (tomatoey based stuff etc. - although saying that water gives me heartburn sometimes :(), drink milk and suffer a mouthful of Gaviscon liquid, a million times grosser but a million times better than the tablets. The GP should be able to give you something particularly if it is affecting sleep so much. I get it generally anyway but had it hideously in the first few weeks, hoping it doesnt come back that badly as it was awful.

Thanks honey, I have icky Gaviscon liquid by my bed now - I find it much better than the tablets that just stick to my teeth and drive me mad!!

I can't sit up in bed properly, it hurts my bump (must be the rubbish mattress). And yeah, water is giving me heartburn at the minute - but only during the night, I don't get it during the day - even if I lie down for a mid day sleep.

Twinklie, I feel your pain :( Defo try drinking milk, I find it really helps. Annoyingly, we didn't have any last night as I'd already drunk it all! As well as acidic foods, anything spicy can make it worse too. You can get gaviscon etc on prescription, so it's worth asking your doctor / midwife if you don't have any.

Well done on all your bargains dizsie! I'm trying to stay away from ebay as I just keep seeing more and more things that I want to get, and because they're bargains, it's easy to get carried away even though we don't really have the money :o

Our pram came yesterday though, so that was quite exciting. Was going to get one we'd seen on ebay, but ended up getting the same one new in the end, as the price wasn't greatly different, adn as my mum said, with the new one it's guaranteed for 2 years if anything goes wrong with it. Feel a bit guilty for buying new, but I suppose we've not really bought much other stuff new, so it's not as if we've gone mad.

Doh, if only I'd known that - just bought a new bottle yesterday! Doh! Ah well, hopefully baby will pop out before I need to buy another bottle. I only had pasta and a tomato sauce for tea last night, so no spice. Boo.

I'll try the milk though defo - that's something I've not tried yet.

Don't feel guilty!!! My 2nd hand rule is that it must be :
    * VCG
    * At least half the price of new even better if under a third of the price
    * Something that was on my list already!!! (Although this is a general rule!)
