Hi, thought i'd delurk as its a new thread. I'm 29 weeks and 2 days. EDD 24th September 2012 and expecting a little boy.

Snap on the due date and team blue! When we are boldies we will be racing to the finish line!

I've gotten massive in the last two weeks, gone from hardly showing to having a football up my top!
And I'm really suffering with restless legs in the evenings and at night, the only thing that helps is a warm bath.

Thanks for the new thread Emsbet.

Theres a Bounty Flash Sale on. Twinklie, theres a Winnie the Pooh gym half price at the moment. Lots of other bits and pieces. Prepacked hospital bag looks like a good buy as well. http://www.bounty.com/bountyoffers

Can't believe how close my due date is, seems like only a few days ago I joined. Texts and phone calls have already started asking how I'm feeling and if I'm having any twinges!

    Yay new thread:D

Sorry things didnt work out Rebekah:( but its not the end of the world you and baby are both healthy which is the main thing.

Mrs Excited - was it your last day at work today? how did it feel? i have two more days left woo hoo!

serious cakes today at work at my goodbye get together, i tried choc cheese cake, ginger cake, lemon cake and pavlova - only small pieces so i didnt make myself sick.

i had lower back ache today which is new for me and it crossed my mind - beginning of labour but it wasnt of course. when you get to this stage though you think everything is the beginning lol

just want to get these last two days at work over then can concentrate on doing a bit of a house clean up - i have told baby to stay put for now.

see midwife tomorrow at 37+3 and hope everything is as it should be,

    have a nice evening ladies,

    Laura

I have had severe headaches and my vision keeps going weird but that happens with the M.E so it's hard to know what is pregnancy related and what is M.E related, if that makes sense?
LadyM - I had one spot of weird vision which lasted less than an hour when still very much in my first trimester and looked it up afterwards, and at the stage I was it wasn't anything to worry about but it did say that if you got it later on in pregnancy and it didn't go away within a certain timescale to contact your doctor. Apparently severe headaches and spots/blurred vision later on ("2nd half" of pregnancy) can be a sign on pre-eclampsia. Mention it to your midwife when you see them next so they can give you some proper advice! Earlier on in pregnancy the vision weird thing is apparently just due to your blood pressure going up/down/around in circles, or something like that...

    Hi all

haven't posted for ages, was due on 30th June, but had my little girl on 27th June by c-section after a failed ECV. She was in an awkward position, footling breech/transverse (unstable lie). The c-section was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be and my recovery has been ok so far, was able to get out and about for gentle walks a couple of days after getting home.

Rebekah I found the ECV to be really painful and was in tears afterwards, I was so upset to have gone through it for nothing and would still have to have a section. I really really did not want one as I was afraid of the pain and recovery time afterwards, but really it has been uncomfortable, but not the horror story I was expecting. I was up and walking around the next morning, I had her on the Wednesday morning and was home by Friday afternoon, obviously there are things I can't do, but I can manage looking after the baby just fine. You just have to remember to take it easy, maybe get a slave or two!

Anyway, I have been reading, but I can't remember a thing, so congrats to those who are due them, and good luck to everyone else!

    Sally xx

Thanks for the new thread Emsbet. Nice work!

    Congrats Sali!

Eek, moving quickly up the list. September is very close.

Sexymouse, I have been having lots of IBS cramps/period pain cramps too. I think it just body getting ready as the end is in sight! I have had IBS before pregnancy anyway but this has been far worse. 8 weeks to go!

    Eeek, number 22!

I just won this on e-bay, yay! Nearly bought it brand new on Mamas and Papas website but it was 12 with delivery on top and the £10 voucher you had to spend over 30 to use. Glad I didn't now, and hoping this is as good as it looks. I thought we would go straight to sleeping bag but my hubby likes to wrap up tight, and my bump always seem comfortable when its quite tight, so I'm hoping a swaddle is a good buy - especially as hubby said no more baby things!!

We got our baby gym in the ASDA event for £16, it is this one - http://direct.asda.com/Red-Kite-Farm-Yard-Play-Gym/002662438,default,pd.html and can get it from Amazon or ebay too I think. We were originally going to have a farm theme but it is now a jungle theme but gym will go downstairs. In my haste to find out what it was, I fell in the nursery and exploded some acrylic paint on the carpet and a big bear my husband bought me for our first christmas going out :( that'll mean no bond back when we move out!!

EDIT TO ADD: Am I really bad? We haven't got the gym out at all, let alone to test how comfy it will be for baby?! we're not putting nursery furniture up until the paint is done, but still... feel bad now!

(((hugs to all))) will read back properly but hope you're not going to queue jump too uncomrtably Rebekah, thank you for stories SaliMali and MrsManda, congrats fluff and don't leave us too soon. Plus, good weights ikkle and kitten. I'm also interested to know if midwifes can guess without scans?! fed up of everyone telling me how neat I am when at 34 weeks today, same as usual baby could come anytime! he feels too comfy in there - not that I am comfy, fed up of losing sleep!! xx
