Missy, I know it sounds weird, but go buy a child inflatable ring and try sitting on that. It should take the pressure off the piles and your lady bits. :)

I used talc on my babies just don't tip it straight onto baby just put a bit on your hand and wipe it onto baby, I think they advise not to use it just because they can breathe it in if its flying everywhere lol hth xx

39 weeks today and I am worn out. I just want to sleep all of the time!

That's you gearing up for "it" then!

I am still in awe at how quickly time has flown! We are both now on maternity leave  and are just waiting! Scary stuff!

I packed my freezer today with provisions! Still intending on making some stuff too - but can't be bothered at the moment! I did some gardening instead as it was lovely and sunny!

I am pleased to say *finally* the nursery is completely finished and everything has been washed! Thank goodness baby hasn't arrived early!:D

I know - it is frightening! I'm not ready to be a mummy!! lol I can't believe that I am due in six days - he will be here within the next 18 days. My life will never be the same again: no more sly trips to the shopping centre, no more going to the gym whenever I feel like it, no more afternoon trips to the cinema on my own. It will be full of drool, vom and stinky nappies! haha Oh gawd! I am the least maternal person I know lol. Don't get me wrong - he will become the centre of my universe for all of eternity but the thought of me being a mummy is so strange! lol

I am glad that your nursery is finished. Ours is as well - finally! I'm just playing the waiting game now.

Enjoy your maternity leave. I don't know about you, but I am finding it easier to deal with on the days I'm not normally in work. Being off during work hours makes me feel as though I am throwing a sickie (If that makes sense). I'm sure that it will change when my little un is here.

Our freezer is full as well and the cupboards are full as well. I am hoping that I find time to eat during the early days though!

Did anyone feel sick during their final few days?? I keep feeling sick all of the time and had to run to the loo the other morning. I am eating and haven't been near any infected people either.

Good to hear people are getting organised. We're still not! I was hoping to finish getting sorted today whilst DS was with the childminder, but her youngest has a sickness bug so I've got him at home for the day. Then my mum and sister are turning up this afternoon to stay for a couple of days. We're organised enough though, just in case baby is a bit early, so we'd manage. At least my hospital bags are packed now.

Snozberry, could it just be baby squishing your stomach? There's not much room left in there by this stage.

It could. I mean I can't eat as much at the minute but I usually feel sick when I wake up in the morning. It's just like the early days tbh

BB we're not quite organised yet either, although I reckon we are organised 'enough' in case the baby arrives early. For some mad reason yesterday we decided to rearrange the baby's room (having got it looking quite good) so now it looks a bit chaotic again! We've also still got a builder in, but I hope he'll be done before the end of this week.

Pelvis starting to feel quite sore now and it feels like the baby has completely run out of room and is trying to break free out of my stomach. I'm a funny mixture of wanting the baby to stay put for a few more weeks so I can get everything done and organised, and catch up with more friends, but also feeling extremely impatient and really keen to meet the little one.

Hope everybody enjoyed the bank holiday sunshine! Minging weather here today though.

Snozberry, sorry you are feeling sick, hope it's a sign of things about to happen for you!

Yeah, it's not unusual to see a return of sickness in your last few weeks. Basically your body's just going into meltdown :D
