I am most concerned about going in to labour while we are in Shrewsbury and being unable to go home but also not been far enough along to go to hospital. The idea of labouring at my PIL's house at the early stages fills me with dread. They are lovely people but they fuss so much and I don't think I'd be able to handle it :/
If you go into early stage labour surely that's it, head on home? Your labour will probably be longer than 2 hours in total :D If not, bonus!!

Snap on the due date and team blue! When we are boldies we will be racing to the finish line!

I've gotten massive in the last two weeks, gone from hardly showing to having a football up my top!
And I'm really suffering with restless legs in the evenings and at night, the only thing that helps is a warm bath.

Milliebob - I nearly beat you by 10 weeks as i was told on Tuesday they may have to deliver the baby immediately as the hospital thought i had a PE in my lung. Turned out to be inflamed ribs but it scared the life out of me - the ambulance with blue flashing lights and sirens nearly gave my husband a heart attack . The hospital were being precautious as i've had 3 strokes, a PE and a dvt and am only 36. I can not fault my hospital for my maternity care as they have been amazing - i've been very lucky.

I've suddenly grown massive and from nowhere aswell. At my 28 week scan, they said bump was approx 3lbs and i wondered how as i wasn't really showing. Nearing 2 weeks later, i look like i've swallowed two bowling balls :rotfl:

My husband would love our child to be born in Yorkshire - noted your location - as he is a Yorkshire man and keeps threatening to drag me up to West Yorkshire in September and keep me captive until the birth.

OK please can someone give me a slap or something? OH thought watching OBEM last night would be a good idea. Well I don't know what happened after that, I'm not so worried about the giving birth. That bit is inevitable I guess at this stage. I'm more worried about looking after baby, and that is daft too cos I know what to do as I've looked after many nieces and nephews sometimes up to a week while their mums are away. Unlike OH who is an only child and barely held a newborn born. I'm not saying I know it all, but the basics I know. So this is midnight I'm having some kind of meltdown and OH dozes off :( so I don't know, I need a slap and for someone to tell me to stop being daft.

have a slap (and then a hug cos us pregnant ladies are sensitive and need a cuddle now and then):). You'll be brilliant, I've never even changed a nappy

I think its time for me to stop being a lurker and get added to the list if I may. I am expecting baby number 5 and have been booked in for my 4th section on 31st August. I am starting to get quite tired now trying to look after my other 4 while being 7 months pregnant and am looking for advice on how to boost my energy levels to get me through the summer months while the kids are all of school!
4th section! I'm looking at section 1 ... You need to give me tips!!

Still breech whoever asked - sorry i forgot. They turned her so far then her head got jammed under my ribs and wouldn't go any more. I keep thinking if only that ruddy midewife hadn't dilly dallied over it all I might have got her turned a week earlier when she was a bit smaller ...

    Hey everyone.

I saw my consultant this morning. He is very funny but very forthright and I didn't feel I could talk to him about how I feel.
He said that the midwife makes you push but that you don't have to as your womb does all the work and that the M.E will be fine because I don't have to push. =/ That somehow doesn't sound right but what do I know?

I need to know that if things get too stressful for me that the option of a C-Section is there. He didn't seem to understand M.E very well and I wasn't given the opportunity to explain it to him properly.

He also wants me to have a couple of growth scans in later pregnancy as I am 19 weeks but only weigh 7st2 so he wants to make sure that baby is growing properly.

LadyM, could you speak to the consultant who treats your ME perhaps? Maybe they'll have a better idea than the consultant who handles pregnant women?
And never say no to more scans :)
