Afternoon all,
Labour vibes to Bamama and any other boldies. Can't believe you will be a boldie tomorrow Rups. How you feeling? It will be even quieter on the thread when you guys give birth...i feel i must learn how to do the list! I have somehow moved up to 15...I'll be 36weeks on Christmas day and its starting to sink in a bit more now.
This week has mainly been spent cleaning...and i mean cleaning windows and carpets and giving everywhere a thorough going over. Between Christmas and New year me and DH are going to put the nursery furniture together and that will be babys room done.
When shopping in Gunwharf on Friday evening i went into the Cath Kidston store and fell in love with a green spotty changing bag...it was reduced from £65 down to £40 so DH bought it for me! I just have to pack it now, and my hospital bag and i'll be even closer to being ready!
This week i have really been suffering with a sore lower back....i know its because i'm heavier and my posture will have changed, but its quite frustrating. I feel like i'm turning into an old woman!
Saw the midwife on thursday, everything still good...measuring 34cm and she also wrote 4/5 palp ( i think this mean she can still feel 4/5ths of the babys head above my pelvis - is this correct?)
I have been suffering from really itchy skin this week - so bad i want to rip my skin off. Have also noticed lots of little - what look like - insect bites all over me. It scared me (well after googling itchy skin in pregnancy), so went and saw the dr. she has given me some cream (bit like E45 cream i think) and i had a blood test to check liver function -but she didn't seem concerned, its just driving me up the wall!! I get blood results tomorrow.
oh, i wanted to ask you guys....do you ever get a feeling a lots of pins stabbing your skin on your belly? I have opt it down to my skin stretching and the appearance of new stretch marks..but wondered if it was my stomach muscles stretching or ripping also? has anyone else felt this? its hard to explain...but its quite specific pain....
anyway, my post has turned into an essay as usual...i promise i will try and turn the laptop on more often and become more of a poster and less of a lurker..!
me (35+5) x x0 -
eliabeth, u are measuring 34 cm and are 36 wks ? Last time i saw my MW i was 31 wks and measuring 30 cm and she starting saying that this baby will be a small one, and she wanted to see me again at 35 to see how things were going. It scared me.
Nana asked me yesterday if i am 5 months, she almost chocked when i said i am 8 months ( 34 wks). Said i look small... Everyone keeps telling me i look small and it is starting to get me down now, i have only put on 5 pounds. We dont do Christmas so i am not stressed about spending money, presents, travelling etc...
Bamama, Things are ok at home, he is up and down but i am trying to keep emotionally apart in these last weeks, i think we will be going to London this week.
Rups, i went to see the hobbit with oh a week agom, we both liked it a lot, once thing tho.. dont drink too much before going in... it is almost a 3 hs movie !!
welsh girl, hope u managed to get all those present wrapped.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Morocha,
I wish everyone would tell me i look small...everyone keeps telling me how huge i look - even people i don't know! when i saw midwife i was measuring 34 cm and i was 35 +2. Everytime i have been measured i've been 1cm under the amount of weeks i am. If i carry on growing at the rate i am the i'm on the percentile line for a 3.5kg baby (obv that doesn't really take into account fluid and stuff).
There was a girl at my aquanatal class that was hardly showing at all..she was still in her normal swimming costume at 36 weeks! she gave birth to a 7lb baby...so sometimes even if you look and measure small the baby will still be a decent size. try not to worry x0 -
i weighed myself a few weeks ago and had already put on over 2 stone! i vowed not to weigh myself again!! I will just try and fit into my pre pregnancy clothes after the birth (well not straight after obv) and then i'll know if i've lost the weight or not -i don't want to know how much i've put on in total...they don't weigh you in the hopsital do they??!!
You guys are brave going to the cinema. The last film i saw was the James Bond movie - i was so uncomfortable, my back was killing, and i got restless legs through the film...ruined it for me. There is no way i could do a 3 hr movie!!0 -
with DD i put on almost 3 stone and she was 7lbs 12! so i get to hear all sort of comments, sort of like this baby might be a tiny tiny one, i should eat more, i am joking and i am not the weeks i say i am, the favourite for women is " i look more pregnant than you". Men are kinder, they just say it is great that i am not putting much weight on. My MIL says is fantastic and how well i am carrying that i am not big.
No, they do not weigh you at the hospital...Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Hello ladies..:)
i would ignore people commenting about how huge or small you are.. I have been constantly told how huge i am. At first i used to get so annoyed but you cant please anyone. Just ignore them.stupid people. lol.
still waiting here. keep hoping when will it happen, how will it happen? its going to drive me insane. lol. cant believe will be a boldie tomorrow though..:)
my mum came to see me earlier and i feel she really wants to be involved when i am in labour etc but this dh of mine is being weird. i would like her there, i mean not during birth birth but to see her grand child. i am sure the in laws will be here so why cant my mum? i will make sure i tell him. well let baby come first hey? lol. i can feel bubs moving now. lol.
hmm want to go and have a shave and clean myself but i have no energy.. actually reading above, iam coming to the point of ' i dont care anymore'. i will be hairy and if the baby is late and comes anytime that will be the least of my worries. lol. feel some odd pressure down there though but no more discharge for me. not knowing what will happen is annoying lolBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
