Bag packed, presents wrapped apart from the big ones that need putting together the night before, does anyone have any names planned yet? I really want freddy but my oh wants josh which is lovely but too normal to go with our other kids names

Names - I've got a couple of ideas but last time we had a definite list of two, and she ended up coming on the same day as we'd had a conversation that morning about a completely different name she ended up being called... so I'm just leaving it on the backburner at the moment (and not telling relatives the possibles as they'll then start trying to have a say and generally being obnoxious about it). Also if I decide on one it'll then be the name of every other child I come across for the next few months and they'll invariably be utter utter horrors of children and put me right off the name!

I've been tripping over flipping Erins since she was born - they've sprung up absolutely everywhere! (Still love the name - have a bit of regret over her middle name as people keep hyphenating it which drives me up the wall)

morocha i feel your pain. i am now 39 weeks + 5 and walking for me is SUCH an effort. I have to use the stairs to go up and down when i need a wee and by the time i am upstairs i just dont want t owee and come back down. i get so tired. its like i drag my body everywhere and belly too. so thats another reason i am so ready. i cant even think about going to town and stuff now. i just sit indoors. i should go for a walk etc to be active but i cant be bothered and the weathers stupid. :( lets see. hope you are ok though.

well done lozzy for packing bags etc.:) mine are in the car but i still need to add stuff to it. so better do that tomorrow. things like notes etc are so last minute so will take those in my handbag. me and dh are having such dilemas about names as he is half English/half Scottish and i am Indian (sikh decent) so we have been arguing and not agreeing.. think we are finally getting there as i said we can have both and i want something of me in there. freddy is so nice too. i like that. weirdly we keep chatting about boys lots so wonder if we are having a boy? would be funny if its a girl. hehe..

  • Hi Ladies, just to let you know that we had a son yesterday. He arrived by elective c section and all is well. He weighs 7lbs 13oz and has just joined me after a spell in NICU due to 'grunting' and increased respiratory effort. I had to have the c section due to cardiac issues and my heart did decide to stop at one point during the section, but I am fine now-no obvious deficits noted either in my monitoring, Thank God. Baby has just met Santa, but slept through it all!
    Good luck ladies!

    Bamama is a boldie !!!

Rups, if i feel like this now, i dont want to think in 5 wks .

lozzy, well done on getting your bags packed !!.

I am upset right now, sometimes you do try to be friends with someone and try to be included in things, well it turns out that i am not, and i am sad. I have this girl, with all her 4 kids( ranging from 1 to 7 yrs olds) many times over at my house, in June she said i could come to the sales in Chester with her on boxing day. I thought great, i have made a friend. I continued inviting her and just being there when her oh left her and run off with another woman some months ago. I needed her in the last wks with all the problems with my Oh, she just texted me, "hope you feel better soon " and never again asked how i was coping etc... Yesterday i texted her about boxing day shopping and i get a reply today. YEs, car is full, sorry :( . I feel such and idiot i wasted my time with her. Just time to move on i guess.

Ok drawers now clear (packed up Erin's 6-9 month stuff to put her 9-12 month stuff out... blimey she almost missed out the 6-9 month size) so I can start washing and sorting newborn sized stuff into drawers - tiny baby sized stuff's already washed and obviously boxed up in case that's needed!

I may yet rediscover my dining table this year!

Will do hospital bag in the new year (I only hit the 24 week mark next week) - again want it done really early as it was handy not having to send hubby out to track down pants and stuff when we got caught at 33 weeks last time! Pushchair etc is all sorted and just needs the second seat (which I keep tripping over and stubbing my toes on) clipping on which is literally a 1 second job (unless I try to do it in which case I invariably screw it up and end up with one side locked in place and the other hanging free and have to spend 15 minutes trying to sort the mess out - least it can stay on when it's on and not need removing to fold the buggy)... might rebuy some vests etc - but looking at them - the state of our newborn and 0-3 stuff is pretty decent apart from a couple of slightly greying babygros - it's the 3-6 month ones where we really got hit with nappy leaks for some reason.
