Me too: I travelled from Gatwick to Gdansk and back with WizzAir six years ago, when WizzAir was fairly new. Maybe it's a cultural thing - after years of being oppressed by government officials, the officials have now been rendered toothless, and are habitually ignored? "Handluggage" that seemed to consist - in many instances - of suitcases. When we landed (at both ends of the trip) the usual admonition NOT to use mobile phones was totally ignored as well. (The point at which a mobile is MOST likely to interfere with delicate equipment is while the plane's on the ground)
