Wow. That will be a good day for your account when they get approved! I'll sit on my thumbs for a little while longer, then.

I finished them all before Thurs 9th, was hoping to get paid for them then, but no, and not this week either.

    Don't hold your breath.

I wish I'd sent my test piece in before. I finally got around to doing it a couple of weeks ago but still haven't received a rating. I know they've been inundated but has anyone else been waiting for more than two weeks?

I sent mine on the 7th, not realising it had been in the MSE email. I'm actually really annoyed with myself because it had been on my To Do list for at least a month.

Hi everyone, I just popped over to TB to check on something and noticed there are 8 each of 2 and 3* product description jobs currently.
    HTH someone.
  • Hi all

I've placed an article to be written on textbroker (UK), in the hope that I would find someone suitable to make regular articles for my website, it's been 72 hours and no ones picking it. Do people dislike writing for the casino industry, or is it bad article titles that normally throw people off? Although Textbroker's pretty cheap, it's not the cheapest around - and I would've thought there would be loads of money savers snatching up all these kinds of articles?

Any thoughts from people who use this a lot would be great!

    Cheers

    Personally, I don't touch casino/online gambling articles.

But obviously some people do, because there are often loads of them and they gradually get picked up! Probably fair to say that it isn't the most popular subject to write about though.

TB goes through phases where Casino and Gambling articles abound. Often, the clients have requested casino-type keywords where the topic of the article is totally unrelated to these. I saw one of those yesterday, and passed by, and I've also seen many others in the past. This tactic is very likely to discourage authors, I'd say.

Personally speaking, casino/gambling articles would be among the last ones I would pick off the queue.

I signed up to textbroker just before the MSE email and got approved. I have written 5 articles since 1st May and none of them have been reviewed by TB yet, and they have since put my account on hold until they have been reviewed. They have all been accepted by clients and rated fairly highly by the clients. This doesn't seem fair, surely they should prioritise reviewing authors those that are currently fulfilling requests?

Anyone else had the same problem?

This is a long-standing problem with TB as they can take forever to rate articles. They usually take 2 to 3 months to rate, but I think it can take even longer. I'm pretty sure they do prioritise those waiting for an initial five article review - when I signed up about a year or so ago, they rated my first five within a week. Some people in the thread have said they had to give TB a little poke (via email) to get their first five seen to, but that was way before TB was mentioned by MSE. They probably do have a backlog, but it might be worth emailing them.

Bear in mind also that there's probably many TB authors who aren't active on this forum...
