I don't think any of this has anything specifically to do with Textbroker, and perhaps is more appropriate to the benefits forum...?

What I am trying to ascertain (in perhaps a long-winded way...) is whether it would be possible to work through this site for 16 hours per week? Just by reading through the thread this seems to depend on whether you are rated at 3 or 4 stars; some people seem to be inundated with work whereas others are struggling.

I can't see Team UK either. I am on 9 teams and have never seen Team UK and I am there all the time.

I do have some team orders, but they are very few.

I work full-time, probably around 50 hours a week. I do very little open orders. I see there are a few orders there in the pool now for 4*.

It depends how quick you type, I mean 16 hours a day, is only two days, or four days of four hours. You could definitely do that. it can take me up to an hour to do one order, at 500-700 words, but it depends on the research involved.
  • Thanks again Sommer43 for your helpful input x

That's odd, they were on my list of 'Public Teams - Open for Application' and my application was immediately approved a few weeks ago.
NB maybe this team only showed up on my list after I passed the proof reading test? I passed that a few weeks ago so might explain why some other authors can't see it.

LouLou, I say go for it. It will take a while to get going, you need to do 5 orders first, then wait for them to be rated before you can do any others. After I would say it's quite possible to spend 16 hours a week on it. You can also do other self-employed work.

    Clickworker is a possibility:

I've not yet got the hang of this site but other people seem to be doing well on it.

You could also consider mystery shopping to add to your hours and income. Good luck!

I'm glad there's lots of work, but its cracking me up how they are managing to weave 'casino/poker/gambling' into almost every category!
