I signed up to this the other day. Wrote my sample and had a response in less then 2 minutes saying it was 3 star. Is this automated as I don't see how they would have time to read and assess it that quickly? Can't see any 3 star articles up.0

I've written 20 articles and now on my next one. My feedback is always good or excellent, I've never had anything rejected and only one revision (apart from that unfortunate one with the rude client). But I'm not getting any direct orders?
My extended profile is only 65% complete so maybe that's why? I've put as much info as I'd like to without giving too much personal info away, but maybe that's not enough. Ideas?
I think it's luck. I wrote two pieces on bingo website reviews for a client, which they must have liked. Not many people were writing them at that point, and there were loads, so I think the client saw it as a good way to get their workload completed quickly because they could see I was willing to write them. So they increased the price a bit and sent me them by direct order.
I got lucky in that she also invited me to a group which I was seemingly the only member of, as I wrote 10 15euro articles for her since tuesday and nobody else claimed any of them.
And the poster above; that does sound rather quick.. mine took at least a few days to review0 -
There are quite a lot of the 4* jobs on atm0

Same here and not a sniff of any 3* jobs.0 -
Just wanted to say a massive thanks to the OP for letting me know about Textbroker. I've only been a member for 3 weeks but I've been lucky enough to receive a direct order worth £700 to write the entire content for a website! I'm absolutely chuffed to bits!
:heart:Thanks to all those lovely peeps who post comps!0 -
That's amazing, well done you!0

That is unbelievable, well done
Had you written for them before or did they like your profile?

I signed up yesterday and submitted my sample article. They replied this morning and I only got a 3 rating
I wrote to them asking if I could submit another sample, and pointed out that I write quality 1000+ word articles for my own websites but it was a waste a time. I got the bog standard(I would imagine) 'you can only improve your rating by writing articles' response. Apparently the guy 'understands' my frustration, yet in the next sentence pointed out how few and far between 3 star articles are
I don't agree with their classification of my ability, but will accept it and prove they were wrong by writing really good 3 star articles. The problem with that is the lack of them.
How long do they usually take to adjust your rating(if needed) after your initial 5 articles? I read earlier in the thread about them blocking your account after these 5 articles - is that true? If so, for how long will they block it? Sounds pretty frustrating.
Their system needs some work, in my opinion. It's not like it's the US Textbroker where there are probably hundreds of 3 star articles available. I want to write, and I see 40-ish 4 star articles available, yet cant touch them. Frustrating for me, and many others, I'm sure. (I'm thinking my 'overuse' of commas, like in that last sentence may have contributed to my 3 star rating).

Guys, little help?
I've had an article come back for revision asking me to put a list into a table - which apparently can be done in Word and put into the article using the 'copy from word' function. Only problem is, if I do a table in Word and paste it in, it removes all the lines and messes the boxes up. What am I doing wrong?"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
Catriona, I really feel for you and I can't help with that problem. What I would say is; explain the problem to the client in a message. They may accept it and then your fine. If you dont get any joy from the client, dont break your back over it...this maybe slightly contentious haha, but maybe cancel the article and pick up a new one. Use the work you've done in Constant Content.
Hopefully, you've sorted it by now though, or a more technically minded person will give advice0
