Damn I'm a 3* have recommended it to my daughter who is bound to surpass me.
Thanks anyway. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I've just had revision request demanding that I use "Harvard referencing". Bizarre! I didn't use any source material as it was a short personal account (as requested in the brief). Wonder if this is the same client as was rude to Catriona P?
Nothing mentioned in mine about Harvard referencing but could well be! I honestly thought my article had been to a good standard (or I wouldn't have sent it in the first place).
I decided in the end not to rewrite the article so sent it back to the author pool. TBH I wasn't impressed with being spoken to like that. Maybe someone else will have better luck!
One thing this experience has taught me - check the client stats first. This particular client has a revision rate of just under 15%, which is the highest I've seen on the site so far. Maybe as Avon says I just need to be more picky! I've also seen a load of articles (mostly flu remedy related) where you're expected to go through loads of links, I avoid those (which is a shame as it's something I know a lot about!)"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

Funny that, I gave them a pass, too
Got a couple under my belt today, so let's hope I haven't been picking up yours and cte's rejects :eek:A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0 -

Does anyone else find themself adding extra commas to everything now? I was writing a letter to my Gran and found myself comma-ing away like Textbroker require. Had to make myself stop and write normally LOL.0 -
I've just submitted my first article that requested 350-700 words. I wrote 600 and covered everything they asked for (I hope!).
So claimed my next article nowI like this website so far. I like how you may only claim one article at once, as Vivatic always lets you take three so I'd end up getting greedy and never finishing them on time. (Though they do pay £10 per article!)

Shall we do a name and shame of rude clients
I always check the client ID and see if I've written for them in the past. I think you can even blacklist them. I've had one guy keep rating mine as Average, even though I keep getting Excellent off everyone else! So I try to avoid that client now, because they weren't even giving me feedback.
The Harvard thing is unreasonable, I'd say. If it's not specified in brief, they shouldn't be requesting it afterwards. I thought that Textbroker followed AP Style, anyway?
I've cracked a 100 so far! Aiming for a 5* rating, but I don't think it's coming. Really want some more Direct Orders, too - I had a few a while back, but no more since. I've filled in my profile, but I'm wondering if it needs sprucing!0 -

How much do personally you set per word for direct orders?
I'm waiting on my first article assessment at the moment and hoping I don't get less than 4* as that's what my entrance text set me at.0 -
After reading this whole thread I've decided to join up. Submitted my test article last night and was slightly disappointed with only being given a 3*, mainly because there are no 3* articles available it seems.
I suppose I'll sit and wait for one to pop up then fight with thousands of other 3*ers to get it.
Looking forward to getting started though :T0 -
I joined up a week ago and so far have only managed to capture two articles. Fortunately both were accepted with no revisions, but it would be nice if there were more 3* orders out there.
I have noticed the same 3* jobs re-appearing in the last three or so days - are these being rejected or timing out?0 -

Keep checking in, there's usually new stuff coming in, but some days are busier than others. Often a big wodge of 3* stuff comes in at once, especially when it's localisation/SEO work. Trawl back up this thread and look out for 'skip hire' to get an idea of that
Articles coming back into the pool could be rejects or time-outs, but also authors cancelling, too. I've thrown stuff back into the pool when I've found myself totally uninspired once I get going on a piece. I remember one where I was supposed to be encouraging readers to visit a certain county, only to realise I couldn't even convince myself to go after doing the researchA man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0
