NUATHA there are some days when I feel like Mr Noahs Mum! but that's what they were called way back when. The other thing we used to feed was cooked udder and the smell from that it indescribable!!!!!!

I know the names, even remember that lights are lungs and melts is spleen, its just that I hadn't heard them used in while. Though there's days when Herself assumes I watching when Prometheus stole fire. Euphemisms in food names are far from new.
Thankfully I've never come across udder being cooked, especially if the smell is worse than the rest.

Was just going to post that you can colour your candles with wax crayons but Bitter and twisted added it first. I havent tried it but think it would look good. Im going to melt DGS wax crayone and make new ones - you use baking tins in a warm oven apparently. I know they are cheap to buy but want to play/ experiment :D

I used to make my own dog food when we lived elswhere and had a cheap o/s butchers. I used to throw allsorts in the pan including stale muffins till the day something floated to the top of the pan and made me retch. I thought it was somekind of stomachy thing or intestine but it turned out to be aforementioned barmcake :rotfl: I was pregnant at the time and suffering total morning/day/night sickness.

  • Liddly have their seeds in store now, if anyone is after them. Cheapest ones are 29p a pack. I'm gonna grow some sunflowers because I like them and because I want to experiment with harvesting their seeds for food. If the birdies don't get to them first, of course.

The 29p ones are mostly 2 for 50p, so cheaper still! I've stocked up on them for cheery flowers - some edible, like nasturtiums - and spent some serious money on interesting varieties of veg seed instead. Him Indoors & his twin bro are cleaning up my miniature greenhouse as I type... I have one of the plastic Norfolk ones that's 6' wide but only 2' deep, which is all I can fit in in the tiny bit of garden no-one else wants for more glamorous things like lawns & Attempted Landscaping (which is a bit of a crime in my humble opinion) and it's amazing how much you can fit into it!
