Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Ok weekdays is it then - I can do any day. If any of the UK preppers want to come then just say - would be nice to have a crowd :)

I would love to but it's a wee bit far from me!

:( Really wish I could though as I would love to meet you all :(
  • Afternoon all, don't know if it's a nationwide offer but our local CoOp has 6 x 2 litre bottles of still water for half price at £1.84p on offer at the moment. If water is on your list it might be worth a look in at your local one. Cheers Lyn x.

I have quite a lot of UHT Skimmed milk but the Aldi one's have a date for the end of Jan 2013 and that's great for me...so far the only thing I have taken out of my store room is some Aldi Lime marmalade...I don't know the brand but it seems fine by me...Hopefully my food store is going to last a long time...

Re. Eating vegetables in a SHTF scenario, please consider sprouting seeds, alfalfa, sunflowers, even marrow fat peas, lentils and chick peas sprout very easily and successfully and probably provide much better nutrition than tinned veg. And the seeds if kept dry and stored un careful condition keep well for years. HTH

To be fair, after spending 17 hours stuck in my van on the motorway 2 winters ago due to the snow (and there were hundreds of Scots doing the same), im determined to prepare for Armageddon :rotfl:

I saw the news of the people stuck on the M11 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2712045.stm) in 2003 and that was enough to start me prepping for winter driving,,, and it has escalated from there!

I think most people round here would think I am completely bonkers :D but they have a "it won't happen to me" attitude

Hi all, I bought a dynamo radio and some water purification tablets today, plus my radiator foil, as advised on the winter thread

    Thanks for all the ideas!
