The wind is starting to pick up down in Seaham. we let the chickens out and they couldnt stand up, so they are sulking in the coop. I bought myself some american sweeties from on overpriced candy shop. So I am okay. Little madam wont go to Monterssori as she thinks she will be stuck there will horrible Mrs Hill and horrible smelly Harry [ she is in love with him really!].
Speaking about celebrations I never forget the birthday were my mum cut her hand with a carving knive as we were arguing over sizes of cake slices! But my parents argue every day and they still love each other. I mean yesterday I went boot shoppping with the other half as his were well talking. He dragged me down to a busy local town, he couldnt get what he wanted, so I took him to another shop, no good. I was slowly on the simmer, calling him scutter and scruffy and refusing to walk with him [childish i know]. but when we drove off I blew up threw a bottle of coke all over him and we both ended up sticky. The last shop we went to he got fixed up! These type of fights rarely happen, but I had been simmering for a while as I never ever see him. So I have lost as I have a sticky jeep to clean. I am Italian after all and we are very passionate people rfol!!!!Has anyone seen my last marble:A:A:A:A

A car will provide good protection from a lightening strike (assuming its not a convertible or has a fibre glass body, but it won't necessarily act as a faraday cage.
Assuming you're looking for protection against EMP type emmisions a useful rule of thumb is that if you can receive a mobile phone signal then there is no protection against EMP.
A metal box with a snug fitting lid (which overlaps metal to metal) will provide good EMP protection (the addition of an earthed strap with provide some additional protection). In my case I have an old Smith's Crisps tin, which is lined with insulation and contains a netbook, charger and optical drive. I was involved in some EMP testing and a old tobacco tin provided protection to a pair of USB drives. A metal biscuit or sweet tin would offer similar protection, if it doesn't have a close fitting lid then seal all round with aluminium tape.
