ginny I can't take credit for finding the link this time. It was in an email this morning but I will be going back to read. There was a lot of interesting stuff on there.

A coffee grinder makes a better job of powdering veg but you have to do it in small quantities. No problem though as it only takes a few seconds.

:) Errrm, they're just there if I'm logged in but not if I'm just browsing on someone else's pooter without being logged in. I wasn't aware you had to do anything special to see them.

But if you're posting you're logged in..........can you see any avatars (not all of us have them)? Mine is jamjars, Vanoonoo has an IKEA cutlery drainer, Grandma's is a fab roomsize larder.....

I've not been on the forum for quite 2 years yet so I'm sure an old hand will wander across and explain.

ETA I think avatoar is computerish for a graphic that stands in for a person. At least that's what I've always thought. So I'm two jamjars..........erm, perhaps I better go find something groovier.

:j I managed to change my avatar.

I am now represented by a cartoon bumblebee. What a faff; 30 seconds to find one then 5 mins being told it was an Invalid File then that the Upload Failed.

Porkie pies, it's there.:rotfl:I had to save it as a .png file. Or I think that's what it's called.

I see a graphic of a bee for you GQ?

I think avatars started as the characters that people chose when they were computer gaming? Like the characters in Cluedo but on-line?
