Not zombie related, but I must be authentically OS - I've just been approached to have WW2 scenes filmed in my porch/ garden / veg patch. "Well they had to make do and mend" was one of the phrases said to me
The fact that they're filming GIs has nothing to do with my willingness to help........0 -

Hello all!
I have been lurking here and enjoying your posts. Very proud to say started a store cupboard, saving and prepping too, using some of your tips already. Thank you very much.
May I post a bit of a rant?

Hello again!
Thank you Popperwell and Mrs Lurcherwalker.
It's more of a scream - AAARRRGGGHHH! Yeuk, EEEPPPP! Bleurgh!
Proudly put my first dry goods stash in built-in cupboard in the bedroom, only for OH to say he heard nibbling in celiling above it at 4am this morning!:shocked::shocked:
I have a 2 pronged attack - decanted dry packets into glass jars with air tight seals and tins from Xmas chocs saved (hoarded just in case). Now waiting for the 'man from the council' to come and exterminate whatever it is.
I thought a timely warning for us newbies to check your stores are vermin proof. Some stuff is back in kitchen, e.g. p*t noddles which fell out on me when I opened cupboard, guess what I am eating for the next week!
I will try and sleep tonight, but will have dog/bat/heavy book ready just in case....

Oh eck BBB bad luck, little perishers get in everywhere don't they? Was anything actually damaged in your stash cupboard or is it just an intruder in the loft? Lots of rodentii try to find warm spaces at this time of year and it's most likely to be that, not that it's come in on purpose to nick your stores. However, they are little opportunists so chew proof storage is vey sensible. Good luck with the man from the council, may your unwelcome lodgers stay be a short one!!! Cheers Lyn.0

How fantastic  please update us how you get on0 -
Thanks Mrs LW
Daren't go in loft as don't know what it is. However, OH said it was 'loud' and not a mouse... Ewwww!
My rescue dog likes hunting though, and mistakenly thought bringing me a screaming frog from the garden the other day was the perfect gift. I have high hopes she will get what ever it is....
It won't stop me prepping though, but, everything will be chew proof. Fortunately nothing had been got at, no droppings or anything. OH says it could be because 'it' hasn't got through yet....
(Shudders) I want more than a sharpened pencil though, when we go to bed.
Still quivering
