Grandmasam, good news for you too, gifted food tastes much better than bought.
Off to bake a load of goodies as we havent bought any nibbles, cakes or anything yummy, basically because I couldnt afford it. I knew I had the makings in the pantry so no problem or 'no biggie' as my dd says :rotfl:
If my cough and the back ache it caused would go I would have a fab time tomorrow but at present I feel like hiding under the duvet. Happy its a low key Chrimbo for us.Clearing the junk to travel light

Just Googled for the lifespan of a cat, and it gives it as being 12 to 14 years, for a male domesticated cat.
Not sure if being female is an advantage (as with humans) or a disadvantage, but based on the 12 to 14 years, Buggalugs is already bucking the trend, and she's in pretty good fettle.0 -
My first lovely Burmese made it to the grand age of 19, so if Buggalugs is in good heath, she has many years of disdainful looks to cast your way when you try and take her picture.0

The cat website says the daily sleep is 12 to 16 hours.
Do me a favour.
To Buggalugs, 12 to 16 hours is a nap.0 -
Just tried the calculator for stores, linked to in the OP.
A few observations.
360 litres of water, is 15 of these, PER PERSON.
Not forgetting the cost (upward of £75 per person), and somewhere to store them.
Given our climate here in the UK, it is very unlikely there will be a continuous period of 3 months, where no source of water (which can be made potable) will be available.
Given that, 360L of water, per person, seems a bit extreme.
No mention of razor blades/disposable razors
As for deodorant, if there is plenty of water available, then regular washing/bathing would render deodorant unnecessary.
If, however, water for washing/bathing isn't available, then deodorant will merely help to clog the pores, leading to blackheads, spots and infection.
Much better to forego the deodorant. With everyone in the same state, you will soon get used to the smell.
The food stores are quite heavily slanted toward meat products (I count 8 such items), with no suggestions for veggie alternatives.0 -
I was wrong.
Buggalugs has gone out, for her evening constitutional.0 -
I hate to worry you bob but the 1976 heat lasted for about 11 weeks
There were stand pipes in some areas.

We had one for 21 years (neutered female, knew her exact age as she was born with us), others 17 or so, so you will have him/her a while yet0
