A very belated Happy Birthday Mar.
GQ I hope you have an uneventful journey.

  • Just submitted a reading for my gas (I can submit readings whenever I like, to get a running total) and am amazed how little I've used.

In the last 76 days (since the last bill), I've used less than £47 worth of gas.

True, it is more than the whole of the last quarter, but we are into winter now.
  • It's been blowing a mighty gale all night, and still going strong!.. I got up twice to check on my rabbit hutches. Was worried they were going to blow away!!
    Thankfully they are all fine.
It's still mighty breezy out there now..

Goodness HollyBerry!.. Glad he's okay! not the sort of thing you want happening just now huh? Brilliant about the torch! :D Well done!

Well I'm off to get the house clean and ready for Christmas day :D
Stay safe everybody, and enjoy yourselves.
  • Wind is picking up a little here, but it's still dry, and the sun has come out too. :)

:) LOL, it seems to be one of my RL gift to be one of those people whom strangers feel it's safe to approach on the street to ask directions. Must be a mixture of respectability and apparent competance. The funniest thing is that it also happens to me when I'm in a place I don't know, a tourist myself.

LOL, we are always being asked directions.

I suppose we look approachable, and look like we know where we are going. Probably because we've checked any new places out on Google Earth before setting out!

Hope your journey isn't too troublesome.

The rain and wind has now subsided here, and it seems like a bog standard dull damp December day

Hellish wind last night kept me up until half 2 then eased. Now picking up again and we've to get the storm around 1pm. Blue skies and snow showers just now. Am starting to get cabin fever though, wish I could get outside .

    Good morning everyone.

I was out and about at a disgusting hour this morning - was still very dark - so could get to M&S in town and back again before the day had really begun. Was amazed at how many people were already in the place but at least no big queues had time to build up. Not very MS I know but M&S do lovely gluten free food such as pigs in blankets, stuffing, turkey gravy, mince pies, as well as Christmas cake. I can't be bothered with making such things this year so used a gift card given to me by a friend to stock u. Lovely!:T

We had wild and windy weather overnight but seem to have escaped the worst of the storms that have hit other places. Been horrified by news reports and pictures on TV. Just seen where people were trapped on train for 6 hours overnight. Hope you are all well, safe and snug.

I hope all of you travelling have trouble free journeys. The only place I'll be going now is church tomorrow.

Wishing you all a happy, loving Christmas. :A:A:A

  • We had a lovely afternoon yesterday - it just quietened right away and the rain stopped, so took the chance for a potter outside. Ferocious here this morning though and building - got some washing dry earlier but rain/sleet now and temp dropping.

Mar hope you had a great birthday - you can never have too much trifle can you?

Right, off to marzipan the cake and then watch white christmas with my knitting. Hope everyone manages a peaceful and content Christmas

Yeah me too. (Beans on toast for supper.) :)
  • Wind getting up a bit now, but it's still dry and sunny.

Some dark clouds overhead but, as yet, no rain or snow.
