Wow, pineapple, what a view!
The back end of a coupla my neighbours' cars outside my window look very tame by comparison. *sobs*
MrsLW, £land have those Tilda rice pouches as well, but I stocked up on those ones from 99p store at your suggestion so that's pretty much sorted.
Was in FarmeFoodes this aft and shocked to see they had no Spam in stock. Not that I wanted to buy any, but it's the principle of the thing; there should always be Spam, like there should always be dwarf bread. Because it keeps forever and you'll almost always want to eat something else instead.:p
Also noticed FF have packs of 24 x 0.5 cl water bottles for £3 out dearer than rice as their packs of 4 x 2l for £1 but some if these littlies will work fit a particular slot in deep cover whereas the bigger ones (or, any more of the bigger ones, I should say, won't fit). Will have to take the wally trolley up there and OPSEC some down to the homestead.
Starting archery next week, whee!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hi all,
I am a bit confused with what is happening in the usa:cool: is it right, that one party has refused to give the government more money???
As a prepper, prepping for rising prices and financial disaster, would this have any financial impact on us???? OR could something like this happen to us??? with maybe the bank of England not doing any more quantative easing?? or am I getting it all wrong:cool::D.
I really do need to get our first aid/meds cupboard sorted properly... I know I have old bottles of kiddie meds in there, and my boys are now 17 and 18yrs:cool::cool:Work to live= not live to work0 -

I think it's to do with their Senate and President being Democrat and the House of Representatives (lower house) being Republican and a mega-spat about the Affordable Care Act (so-called Obamacare) which is causing a major political stink.
The big fun happens in a fortnight when they reach their present debt ceiling and have to vote to raise it, default on their obligations or try to blend the above. Keep your eyes peeled for the fireworks after 15th Oct.
We do things differently here but we're still in debt up to our eyeballs and it could all go horribly wrong. Not much we little people can do about that other than keep stocked on food and make sure you always have cash by you.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

MrsLurcherwalker wrote: »Our local Co-Op has the pouches of Tilda ready cooked Rice and thier own brand pouches of cooked rice for £1 each at the moment. The Tilda ones come in many different flavours and plain the co-op ones have a couple of variations, worth having on the shelf of the Armageddon cupboard at that price, might be worth a look in if you have a Co-Op local to you, Cheers Lyn xxx.COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »Hi all,

Two boys sitting in a sandpit and they both want the others cars, instead of agreeing and swapping they both decide to sit on the cars to each prevent the other having it. They sulk and tantrum and whine until one gives in and they swap, then they go back to playing until the next upset.
It will sort out in a week or two and it isn't zombie 'pockylipps ...yet.0 -
Random bit of news this week; apparently Spam is considered a delicacy in South Korea..............I must try some soon.
I have just returned from South Korea, I didn't notice any. All they ever say about British food is "fish and chips". The South Koreans eat a lot of fermented food like kimchee (fermented cabbage with chilli). It was this that would get them Through their very harsh winters - at this time of year they traditionally make big stoneware jars of the stuff. It is oddly addictive.
Mm spam and kimchee, to get you through any SHTF situation :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0
