    O god. Sob!!
  • I've got a whole shelf full of bars of things, I buy the four for £1 packs when they're available and the big choc bars when they're on offer too. I am able to leave them alone, He Who Knows is the choco fiend in this house, and I haven't told him they're there!!!!! I keep a stash because in a SHTF situation they will be very good trading things, and on a really hard day, I can cheer him up with a choccie bar!!! Me, I'm a devil for cheese oh yes bring on the camenbert!!!

Our midges aren't a patch on yours over on the west. The ones I "met" in Plockton and Ullapool were the size of bats! We aren't much bothered by them here - maybe too high up. Just the odd humid evening.
She canny send you the sweeties. I et them.
    :D

By popular demand, specially for Mar, WCS, Mrs LW (and anyone else with a passion for retro-sweeties)...........ta dah!

One of my old cats was a great hunter and brought cooked sausages and a trout in a cooking bag - now thats class and the sausages were still warm. You can always tell when a cat has bounty cos it backs through the cat flap :rotfl:
:) That's a cat and a half. If only one could train them in pilferage. Parents' mogs have stolen pizza, sausages and a small aviary bird.......... it was buried with full military honours.:o

No just that you have to stay upwind of us at all times
:p Nooo, downwind of us, or we'd enjoy the aroma.

Brussels sprouts are the Devil's Own Vegetable, they even smell sulphuric. Whovever decided they were edible ought to have a good smacking.

Been to work, came home via the supermarche with the dolly trolley and several more bottles of water. Today it is pertiddling down with intermittant heavy cloudburst among the steady rain. Roll on summer, eh? I ought to go camping as that normally triggers extreme weather events in otherwise benign times of the year, so maybe it would reverse the trend and cause a heatwave?

Nahh, I didn't think so, either.

I have some dad-blasted ironing which has unaccountably appeared on the clothes airer. Two shirts and a pillowslip. I may skive on the pillowslip. Or wait for some more ironing to join this lot, it's hardly worth setting the board up for.

I have heard of stockpiling sweeties for a crisis, but the only ones I manage to buy have a very short-shelf life, numbered in hours, mostly. IfI know it's there, I'm gonna eat it.

Fab pic GQ - can almost taste them! I have a wee stockpile of vegan choc for dessert-making, and we make sweeties on wet days - great fun to do.
It's chilly here - have the stove turned up and a cardi on.

Like Mrs LW I have a stash of choklit amassed whenever there is a £1 offer in Tosco or the like. It is secured in a dark place under the stairs. Whoops, shouldn't have told you that, you'll all know where to look now....

I remember making coconut ice years ago, pink and white. Haven't made fudge for ages.
