  • Morning all :D

Thought I'd nip in quickly for a quick catch up.

Seem to have a real problem sleeping at the moment, think it may be a bit of stress over my dissertation

But on the good side the dissertation is going well so hopefully that will continue , but I must admit I'm at the stage now where I just can't wait for it to be over.

Obviously apart from cooking and cleaning not doing much else on the OS front at the moment. Ah well only a month to go before everything is back to normal

Hope everyone is keeping OK and as always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

    Morning all

:grouphug: to CCStar and anyone else who needs one.

Thanks to for smokybabe for the Doctor Seuss poem, it brought back lovely memories of our recent visit to Florida - we went out last week with some friends and mentioned Thing 1 and Thing 2, and one of the blokes had never heard of them

Lovely morning here, bit frosty but dry with blue skies. Good luck to anyone with littlies today, you might actually get something out of the budget - I'm sure the 4x4 drivers, smokers and drinkers will get stuffed:eek:

    Have a lovely day everyone

Dh yesterday informed me that in his dinner hour at work he had sold his car and bought another one?!?! Completely out the blue, im quite happy though as the new car which he will get a week on fri, is bigger and a year newer than his and mot isnt due until end of year...plus the car he has bought is from the mechanic at work so know its in good condition. Its only going to cost me £20 to swap insurance details over, so a new car for £20, im not telling him hes done well though!!!!LOL.

    Morning All

Many Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Had a lovely day so busy with visitors that couldnt get on here and needed an early night!

Good to see you back JW1096

    Congratulations Scuzz

& lots of (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them.

Hope you are all ok, only had a quick look at yesterdays thread. When have done some jobs will go back & catch up.

Lovely and sunny here at mo but still very cold. Gonna get dressed in a minute ensure kids have got everything for school and then make a start on my paperwork - there is loads of it. Luckily have got some mocha coffee and birthday chocs to hepl me get through it.

Tonight children have promised to whiz through their homework so can make popcorn and sit down and watch Casino Royale - my fav birthday pressie.

Probably will be chicken and chips or jacket spuds for tea. Trying to get back to normal routine but my kitchen is being done next week so will be all over the place again.

Take care and have a great day.

Moggins a tip - take some painkillers before you go - have fun.

Good morning everyone. It's really cold. Brrrrr.....

Thanks to everyone who sent support last night.

I've got to wait in today for the windscreen people to come and fix DH's car. He vanished in a taxi at 6.30 this morning.

Last night was horrible. DSD has packed a huge bag and gone supposedly to see her Mum. I told her to wait until her Dad got home but she rang him and assure him she was going to see her Mum (she has alot of undesirable layabout friends). Anyway, DH rings his ex's to see how she is doing and she is not there and is not expected. He went ballistic, she is meant to be looking for a new job near where we live. Her mum lives 20 miles away and she won't find a job in our area there. She doesn't drive and has no intention of learning. She isn't coming back until Friday and it is pre-arranged that she will stay at her Mum's when we go to Spain/Centreparcs next week (we don't want the undesirable friends in our house when we are away). In other words it's 2 weeks until she looks for a job. He was so angry I was worried about his heart. He's told her to decide where she wants to live.

I am so disappointed in her. I bent over backward to help her yesterday when she got the news.

Why are children so drawn to friends with no jobs, living off the state. She is under the impression that their lifestyle is rosier than hers. I could hear her telling her Dad but X is "there for me", he ranted at her that X may be there for her but X wouldn't get her a ****** job.

    So sorry to rant:o

I'd better go make a cup of tea to calm down.

Have a good day everyone. Hugs to all who need them.

    Good morning! :hello:

Yesterdays funeral in Sheffield was every bit as bad as I dreaded! How family can behave so badly towards each other at a time like this I really don't understand  b-i-l 's sister was an absolute cow to him and the rest of her very large family all snubbed him  He had just lost his Mum as well! Anyway we just got him home asap luckily snow held off until we got to stansted. Very very cold though!

    Scuzz - well done!:T that's great news!

JW - lovely to hear from you, well done on the weight loss!:T

    Moggins - Wow! you're brave!

Queenie - Where are you? Missing your posts!

I know that Ivyleaf is away on a holiday of a lifetime in New Zealand but should be back with us soon.

Still very cold here in Essex so heating has been turned up! Brrr!

    Have a lovely day
