So sad, another victim of the DDA.
The media are part to blame for the act in the first place. I don't read papers anymore as I don't want to fund their pockets because they write some amount of bile.0 -

I'm so sad to hear this
Rest in peace Lennox, nobody can be prejudiced against you now.

So, so sad
Lennox was DNA tested & was proven to be an American Bulldog/Labrador cross. His dog licence issued by Belfast City Council also has him listed as an American Bulldog. So saying he 'looks' dangerous & 'may' harm someone in the future is like saying all hoodies 'may' mug someone in the future. Ridiculous!
I was up until the early hours listening to the radio where some wonderful people paid £4,000 to send Joanne Hull to Belfast on a private plane at 4am. Joanne sat in their offices for an hour & they looked her square in the face & promised her that nothing would happen today, knowing full well that it already had & they were about to release the press release.0 -

Where's the proof of this? I can't see it in the court documents. The owner admitted that he was a Pit Bull Terrier. There was no DNA test.0 -

I believe the owner admitted/accepted that he's Pitbull type. Which many non-Pitbull breeds/crosses can be - it simply means that Lennox measured a certain height, length, head-circumference, etc.

Accepting that his head measurements were those of a pit bull TYPE is not the same as saying he is a pit bull. The American Pit Bull society, who produced the breed measurements used by the court have taken legal action themselves against BCC for unauthorised use of their research.
The DNA test results were not accepted for submission to the court and the court wouldn't order their own. But there was a DNA test just the same, but BCC chose to ignore it.
RIP Lennox, as said earlier, this had nothing to do with you.

His owners admitted no such thing. BCC class him as a Pit Bull-TYPE. There was a DNA test. When he was a puppy, his owners had him neutered, licensed, insured, & DNA registered. If you search further, you will find a copy of his dog licence (issued by BCC for the last 5 years) & tag with American Bulldog listed as his breed.
BCC staff also mocked Lennox supporters by making animal noises down the phone to them when they called up: http://www.examiner.com/article/belfast-city-council-making-animal-sounds-when-people-call0 -

From the court documentsThe applicant accepted that the dog was of the type known as a Pit Bull Terrier
I'll believe the court papers thanks. And not the supporters who threatened the lives of dog wardens.0
