@gibbyni Fair enough. I don't agree with hidden charges. I just hate when people inconvenience others just because they deemed their 'make believe' space was acceptable.

I agree, efforts should be made to deter this rather than punishing people afterwards.

Ooh someone's got a problem with authority!
gibbyni - the OP was not parked in a space. Just because you can still get a car past it, doesn't make it OK to park there. Her car was probably blocking drivers' views at the junction. I'm interested in your point about people directing traffic - how does that create more spaces?
Drive round the car park until you either get fed up and leave, or find a space. Don't selfishly block other road users. The 'gestapo' can't touch you then...

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, I was at Boucher retail park on Sunday and got a parking charge of £60 (paid within 14 days) rising to £90 if not. I hold my hands up and admit I was parked incorrectly - but it's the norm for there (no excuse I know - and yes I have learnt my lesson). But I'm wondering how enforceable this is, I had a look through the rest of the site and people say to ignore it, but has anybody in NI ever come across this company before and either ignored them or been hauled to court?
    Thanks appreciate any help £60 is a fortune I don't have!
This is a scam I parked at 15 30 and was given a ticket at 15 41 stating left site !! only way i could have left was by helicopter !! I have proof I was in store in boucher rd at 15 17 do not pay this is an absolute disgrace and we should all contact the management company responsible for employing these s crooks !!!

And Waltsalt and Irishjohn I know it may not sound like it but I actualy do agree with you that people shouldnt park badly.

What I dont agree with is the Gestapo's way of doing things, if they had big signs up making it obvoius then fine caught red handed and if they didnt hand them out for being here to long or slightly over a line then fine. But they dont!

How can it be a deterent if no one knows about it ? so kow can I agree to them doing it if no one knows about it ?

I parked in a parking space at 15 30 and came back 15 mins later to find a ticket made out at 15 41 stating i had left the site in what a helicopter !! This is a money making scam i agree people should park properly but muy experience shows its about the money not the parking !!

Thankfully I have proof i was in a car park in Boucher rd at 15 17 but some poor people especially the elderly will panic and pay for having done nothing wrong !!!

Hi guys I know the last post was some 8 months ago.
My mother was at Boucher road on Wednesday and was going Into Next so she parked along the road parking beside the kerb, and upon return she found one of these UK parking fines for 100.00 stating that she hadn't parked correctly in the space or the bay. This is the same ticket that you all speak of and not issue by our own red coat people... My mother says the other thing she can think of is that the car wheels were outside of the line but at that the car was not impeding anyone from driving past on the main road....

Is the policy to just ignore these?

Is it worth contacting our own red coat parking attendants and asking their advice?

Seems they are just trying to generate revenue from innocent parkers

    Cheers

This is just a speculative invoice. It is not a parking fine. A private company cannot impose penalties or fines.

Don’t contact them, just ignore all the letters. They have suffered no financial loss.
    DO NOT PAY.

I say do the crime, pay the fine. And take an advert in the local paper and apologise to anybody that was inconvenienced.

    Crime? Who was inconvenienced anyway?

Seriously I think the traffic Nazis should be banged up. Who gave them permission to masquerade as traffic wardens?
