Yup, sorted thank you. Tried that earlier but without being connected and it just blew raspberries at me.0 -

This isn't a perfect transalation but it's close (I think):
Search the DVD for the map MapRegions (file type ends in type .map). Copy the MapRegions to your hard-drive.
If your computer offers possibility to write to the hard-drive, you can write copy it directly to the hard-drive.
Doing it this way, it takes less time to synchronise via ActiveSync. The remaining details are available in the equipment handbook.
You can place more files on the you hard-drive, depending on the capacity of the hard-drive.
If there is only one file in the MapRegions available, choose the standard option(?)
If there are more files available in the map MapRegions, search and choose/select the choice you wish to make from the navigation card.
Good luck0 -

Why would you need to install an additional memory card? The unit has maps pre-installed and seems to work fine.
Would it be for European maps etc or photographs?0 -

yes or mp3 apparently, though my unit doesn't seem to play mp3's even though it said so? all I have is the pic viewer where the mp3 player should be as well0 -
I highly reccomend installing tomtom onto this unit, much easier to use and to get to know, with the medion software I spent ages trying to learn it and didnt feel comfortable.
Thanks Ritz
Oh btw if you could help me with my previous question that would be great.
As for the mp3 player I wonder if the exe from another medion unit would work, since its ce based would any mp3 player for win ce work?0 -
Hiya Dave_Green, I'm sure an MP3 player from another CE would work, just need to modify the menu.xml file to create the icon in the menu. I'm not so fussed about the MP3 side but it should be easy enough to configure to work. If any other CE software is required then the process will be the same, just need to make the edits in the menu.xml file0

The Sat Nav is still showing as out of stock but the price is now £99.97.
All of the Tesco Easter Mega Deals have had their prices changed (offer ended yesterday).
The Easter delivery dates shown on the website give Wednesday as the delivery date if you ordered Wednesday 4th after 12 noon until Saturday 7th, before 12 noon. My order has shown as dispatched since the weekend but I imagine that this is more indicative of the collating/packaging/van loading process than of actual dispatch.
Jus spotted some small print on the delivery dates for Easter: "Please note that we will not be making deliveries on the 6th, 8th 9th, or 10th April"0
