I'm in again. Did pretty well last week but would like to try and actually finish the lists this week.

Nothing done so far today as after work had a meeting at school. Got an unexpected day off tomorrow though as DD is poorly so I'll either get ahead tomorrow or even further behind depending on how she is and whether DS2 (no point paying for childcare if I'm not getting paid...) lets me have a minutes peace!

ETA Thanks for the list Dusty. Hope your mum is ok.

Hi Everyone. Newbie to the FlyLady thread here!

My boyfriend and I are awful at keeping the place clean and tidy and really want to change before we buy our first house (move in next month - scary stuff!)

The 'in laws' have just been over to stay and left it in pretty good shape, so thought I'd join this thread so we can keep up the good work. We both have jobs and can never get into gear when we arrive home, so going to aim for Level 2! Hopefully not too ambitious!

Having a good day so far. Hope I can keep this up tomorrow when I will be out for most of the day, so FLYing will have to wait until the evening. That is when I tend to fall down.

Anyway, since I picked up DS's from school, I have continued to tackle the list. This achieved earlier in the day have been deleted:

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
Clear and wipe table - will do after dinner
    Level Two - DONE :j
    Level Three
    Clean all up high spaces
    Clean a window or two
    Extras
    [STRIKE]Meal plan[/STRIKE]
HHI x 2 - will do when DS's in bed
[STRIKE]Print off reward charts for DS's[/STRIKE]
Update diary with appts from school

Thanks for these lists. They are helping me to be the orgainsed Mum that I have always striven to be :D

I had a good go at the tops of the cupboards, but all bar one have got that cooked-on grease on them :o and it's proving really hard to shift completely, though I think I've got the worst off. Anyone got any ideas how to get rid of it? The tops of the cupboards are a kind of plastic-covered chipboard, I think. I've tried a few times with really hot water and strong sugar-soap solution, but there's still some stickiness left..

I have no clue but hope one of the other flyers know cause I'm going to have to do behind my cooker before Thursday when the new one arrives and I know without looking it will be grotty:o

My DH bought a cheap steam cleaner moons ago and that's always worked to get greasy residue off - do you know anyone who could let you borrow one?

I survived my first day of FT work! Dinner is cooking. I don't feel to bad.

DS1 is delighted his aunties are going to get his provisional licence for his birthday. He is now regretting his awkwardness over the passport photos as his passport renewal was posted today. He needs his passport for the PL ID.

DW unloaded. TD emptied, folded and put away. WM on.

Going to do a HHC in the kitchen now

    eww

    hope your mum's ok Dusty.

Bad, sad news at work this am - can't believe another child has lost a parent. Quite upsetting. Unexpected and sudden. I will be very glad when term ends.

Flying - none you would notice but new safer home found for injured but thriving gerbil. Not going to put thje two remaining ones back together. Never had gerbils fight like that before:eek: neice has loaned me a cage.
