I'm in again this week, fell off at the end of last week as we managed to buy a really cheap carpet for our bedroom [been without for 18 months] so everything had to come out of the room, it was given the clean of its life and then carpet laid and when all was put back I went through it all and either placed things in their proper home or chucked them, I now have a lovely bedroom and DH was a star - he did all the heavy moving and the laying of the carpet,

Dusty - thank you for the list and hope your Mum is not in too much pain

JJ - poor Dd, is she in much pain today?

Been to see the Olympic Torch this morning up at the city centre - it was heaving but there was a great atmosphere, really good

    Off I fly

Hi all, I'm in, as best I can manage, as ever.:o

DK mega healing vibes for your poor mum. Ouchie!:(

I'm kitchening today, with my own lists - looking at the official Extras, there's no ironing left, as Mr LW did it all yesterday, and Me-time will be converted to Dilly-time;):D

Same here - Mr LW understands that as I find it difficult and painful to bend to see into the lower cupboards, I need to be able to just put my hand in and find what I want by feel - which means the item being in the position I expect it to be in!:o

I just found out the hard way that I can no longer lodge a mobile phone between my ear and my shoulder while I move the netbook off my lap.:( Ouch-ouch-ouchity-ouch. And a few rather ruder words besides.

    OMG!

Garage just called, service done and passed mot but they have some advisories:
Front tyres are legal but getting close to tread limit - £70 each for budget or £125 for good.
Filters (air and pollen) need cleaning - £45
Brake pads want replacing in next 6 months - £200+

Just the service and MOT is £150, and the insurance £300.

I've told them just the filters for now, the others will have to wait till next month, can't feasibly pay £1k out this month.

Need a cup of tea. lol

My bedroom is done, Ds1 is making good progress in his room. Landing, hall & stairs next and put 3 recycling bags of dirty washing in the car. That's just what we've found while cleaning.
