And how do you know anything you get told on a public forum is more reliable than what your manager tells you?

If you want to know, make a FOI request of your employer.
    Ppphhttt!

But how does one know that what your manager tells you is reliable? Checking on a public form is actually a good start. Don't knock it.

I wasn't suggesting it would be. I was suggesting that an off the wall question out of any context is likely to get just as (un)reliable an answer. Whatever the OP wants it for, you can lay bets that it isn't idle curiousity. And on that basis they want to use the information for something. A something that may well get them into a nice degree of trouble (or more trouble?) if they get it wrong.

Requirements for timesheets will vary for all levels from NHS organisation to NHS organisation.

The line manager of a Band 4 position may be a Band 5 or 6 so wouldn't necessarily know about higher bands in any case.

To find out how it operates in your organisation, use FOI if you must. I say "if you must" because FOIs are a cost to the organisation but one to answer the current query should not be two expensive.

Perhaps they are all working? Or enjoying some time with their families? Or perhaps they aren't mindreaders and can't 'feel' that a question desperately needing their responses is urgently required, esp when in a thread not entitled 'Urgent, NHS workers in band 7, 8 or 9 - your assistance please'.

In any organisation, once you get to a certain level, you are paid a standard salary and any additional overtime is just what you do. You certainly don't do time sheets or get paid extra for it - that's for those lower down the food chain.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

    Ok I'll bite.

I am a band 7 bank worker. This is my 2nd band 7 bank role.

I too complete a monthly worksheet. Signed by my manager at the end of the month.

My current manager handn't employed a bank worker before, so there were lots of questions.

But his office is next to my desk so I am sure he knows my rough comings and goings.

    HTH.

Isn't that the job of internal audit?

The leading case on the legal definition of dishonesty - R v Ghosh (1982) concerned a surgeon who falsely claimed for operations he hadn't carried out on the NHS. You see regular stories in the media of sundry GPs, opticians, dentists, consultants etc being prosecuted, so I presume that someone, somewhere, is keeping an eye on things.

Are your timesheets tied in with a labour management scheme (LMS)?
