time sheets and accountability

Hi all just a question with regard too proof of hours worked whilst working for the NHS.
As a band 4 employee I have to fill in a monthly time sheet which I sign this is then checked by my line manager and co signed if all is well
My question is how are higher grades and doctors, consultants, psychiatrist ,psychologists ect held accountable ?
thank you

up to at least band 7s do the time sheets, not sure about higher ups
  • I used to work for the NHS as band 5 then band 6 - I've never had to do a time sheet (with the exception of overtime/additional bank work).

I imagine the post's that your are mentioning are salaried with adjustments made for out-of hours work.

And how do you know anything you get told on a public forum is more reliable than what your manager tells you?

If you want to know, make a FOI request of your employer.

Domino 9 Would you say that there is "opportunity" for higher grades to be economic with the truth with regards to there time spent at work ?

I get the distinct feeling that this is a 'whistle-blower' situation?
