oh lilibet what a beautiful place to live and your doggies are gorgeous! Have bookmarked you :D

Bornblonde hope you are having a less eventful day today! What with exploding gas bottles, demolition men and rowdy coppers its not exactly a quiet country life is it? :D Bet its great fun though X

Can't really get much done this week as DS3 is still poorly,on day 3 of antib's and he's only just perking up a bit now so his poor throat must have been so sore :( He doesn't register pain normally and its a bit of a worry as he becomes quite ill before you realise anythings wrong, then you get badmothersguilttrip..fortunately he's a robust little man and rarely gets ill he obviously needed the drugs when he was ill week before last but I thought he'd fought it off ok..bad mummy

Hope everyone is well/feeling better have a great day all XX

You're on my feedly lillibet I will have a read later on ;) gorgeous doggies (I sneaked peeked)

You all would be proud of me today. Thermal vest on, socks, big coat on, hat, scarf and gloves. I hunted out my summer buy boots and was toasty... till I walked out in the rain and the new boots seeped straight in. I'm gutted I am. I'm really rueing the 'buy cheap buy twice' saying right now. I have wellies, all is not lost.

Possession going to try that bacon and potato slow cooker meal today. I'll let you know how it gets on. Also making that oat baked fruit thing for breakfast.

After work I'm calling round my 60+ friend in the village. She has a woodburner :D and is making me lunch. We get on well. It should be me helping her out but as she has a car, she helps me out!

Off I go do all my jobs before work and set the SC away. We're all back to it today. My chest is more of a constant indigestion feeling today. I suppose that's progress. I don't think I have bronchitis though.

Take care everyone and I hope today is brighter where you all are. It's very dark here this morning x

I'm sure Docky is german ;) :rotfl:

Morning all - well, it's brightened up since first thing.

Waiting for carpet people to arrive to lay new carpet then we is done for a bit. (till i see the next room that needs doing! - actually I hate the disruption of decorating so we put it off as long as possible). Am working at home - volunteered to do marking  I must have gone mad! SO will bribe myself with chores, mark a piece - hang washing out, mark another - load dishwasher etc. It's the only way I can get through it.

OH out tonight so its make do and mend tea. Actually I think the kids will have jacket spuds and something and i'll have freezer surprise! Something good for my waistline anyhow. I intend to go out for a brisk walk in the sunshine to earn a treat at the weekend! But only when these dratted carpet people arrive - I think i'll put the kettle on, that'll drag them here! :D
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Morning FUDDLE - Glad you are on the mend and hoping the girls are feeling better too. I assume Alfie is back to normal and pinging about liyka maddddfing!!!! Rotten about the boots, you'll be able to use them on cold but dry days though, so all is not completely lost. Did you make the Breakfast Bake? if so how was it? It certainly looked delicious. Enjoy your lunch out, always nice to have a treat like that!

POSESSION - If you made meatloaf mix and wrapped it in streaky bacon in individual sausage shapes, like pigs in blankets and called it sausage whirls they would never know it was meatloaf!!!

D & DD Hope your lad is on the mend now, and than you can stop worrying, who'd be a Mum eh? Chin up!

    Cheers Lyn xxx.

Great idea Lyn! I shall plan that one for next week I think.
Fuddle i'm doing a bacon-potato thing today too since I got cooked sausages and bacon out of the freezer. Not sure if it would be a good idea to do it in the slow cooker since the meat is already cooked, but I guess I could put that in later and give it a bit of a stir. Since I'm exceedingly lazy, I'm a big fan of one-pot cooking and one-pot washing up so it was brilliant to be able to cook the pasta in the slow cooker yesterday.

Ive got to take rosie our little cairn/chihuahua to the vets this morning, she is 15 yrs old, and she keeps walking sideways and is incontinent, plus she already as breast cancer....
