prepareathome I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, every parent's nightmare. I will willingly pray for her and for your family. Thinking of you.
(((((PAH))))) sending good thoughts for your daughter, and for yourself.

I've come across a few together-apart (ex) couples in my life and suspect that in the privacy behind closed doors it's commoner than we know. Hope that it works out for you both.

I'm about to make an omelette "starring" the marbles, you know, those pesky tiddlers you get when you grow your own spuds. I'm fortunate in that my lottie produces good-sized spuds but you always seem to end up with a bowlful of the marbles, too, and I hate waste.

I'd separated the tiddlers from the regular-sized spuds when I sorted them and had a mass scrub-and-steam yesterday when cooking my tea and ate some then and will eat the rest by and by.

My Dad is an ex-farm boy and potatoes have long been put through a riddler to sort them by size for market. Mr M once provided me with a bag of tatties which included one perfectly smooth, perfectly brown riddled.........stone!:rotfl:Easily done as I have some very potato-looking stones on my lottie and you can sometimes spot me tapping one on the tine of the fork as I lift spuds to find out if it clinks or is actually a spud. With the smaller denominations it's particularly hard to tell.

Weather is ambigious at the moment, I have what I think is sometimes called a mackerel sky out there but I have to go to work so whatever it is, won't matter too much for the next few hours.

OK, my kitchen calls. Small potatoes are about to meet their doom................:rotfl:

pah I too send lots of positive thoughts and hope to goodness they find out what is wrong soon.

I hope your life will be all the more happier for having your own space and that you can achieve some sort of contentment soon. How the heck you've done all that yourself, with your health, I do not know.

So good to see you posting. :)

Sorry to hear that PAH, sending calm green vibes to you!
The curtains have jsut been washed GQ and still look grey - it might be the new windows doing it. I will look for Glo White today in Asda. ty.
Fuddle, I'm a nurse, but the first (and only) time my youngest son had a panic attack I called 999 because I thought it was either bad asthma or a heart attack! His pulse was too light and fast to find, and he was semi conscious, it was horrible.
I'm on Pinterest as Mouseworks but I've never thought of looking at food...do they have SWEETIES? :D;)
No time to sit and yakk just now, I'm off to the dizzy excitements of paved streets and real people... bank, Costco, Asda. Then back home thank god to my own wee world of the nosy sheep looking over the fence, and the blackie who dive-bombs the ginger cat to mug him for his dinner :D

PAH thinking of you and your DD, hope they can make a diagnosis very soon. Hopefully the new living arrangements will make life at home happier too.

GQ your stone potato just made my teeth wince.
And Mar they certainly do have sweeties on Pinterest!
  • Fuddle - really hope you get well soon and take care of that chest.

DD is off the the GPs this morning because of a URTI well atleast I hope it is still upper. She has asthma and a very low tolerence to colds and colder weather. Being at uni means she is open to all the germs. I am just going down with her cough and cold and refuse to leave the house till it goes. If I get a bad cough this time of year I tend to still have it till Christmas. Every year when I was working in the NHS!

Must send OH to get more TL and candles. :)

PAH - will take the time to light a candle for your DD and you. x

Mar - you should see the sweeties, oh my!!

Fuddle - if you are near a chemist ask for a bottle of menthol, then use it as a steam bowl and inhale, it will really help, I then leave said bowl in room to give off vapours all day.

PAH - have PMd you, but I hope this works for you - but before moving furniture next time please give a shout - could have loaned you DS14 at least :)

    JKJ - ((Hugs))

MRSC -Am going to attempt the egg muffins later today - I rarely eat breakfast as I just dont have time but they look ideal for me.

Am going to attempt to reduce carbs this week, like Fuddle I feel I am putting on weight, I know alot is having been so ill this last year I am not moving as much as I once was, added to steroids, pills etc and I am feeling very heavy.

Off to a meeting today to have our new group formally recognised, we will then hold an AGM, we have found a venue and I am sourcing insurance so we will all be ready to go very exciting times. :)
  • PAH - sending love and prayers for your DD, how awful for you, especially with everything else you have had going on re: living arrangements etc. You must be exhausted :( (((hugs)))

Fuddle - hope you feel better soon, do you have a flu jab? Might be something to consider working in a environment where you're exposed to every little germ

Didn't sleep well last night, DD2 has a cough and cold and was in with us all night. Then i ended up lying awake worrying about money :o and getting a job/holding down a job with my FM etc. So today i'm shattered and all tensed up.

    Take care all
