it's highly addictive. So many great ideas... much better than google because interests are all pooled together. You can follow people you know. I follow Possession because she's lovely, no lol I follow Possession because we like the same kind of things and I can see all the things she's found and pin them to my pin boards. Just now I've added a fair few new recipes from P.

That is where I'm going to start my new 'my next home' folder.

Fuddle I only pinned the Rustic Twice-Baked Potato Casserole this afternoon and already it has been repinned a lot. Might have to make that one sooner rather than later.

Fuddle 2 years ago in the bad winter when the snow covered the cars here I used oil filled radiators that have a thermostat . Found that they didn't push up the Leckie bill too much . They may work - I got mine fro
eBay and even tho they were detailed as factory seconds they are fine

Think I must be very stupid....I can't see what pinterest is for? I just get random pictures of crafts , places etc and if I click on one it just opens it as a bigger picture.Is that what it is , just a big notice board?

Pretty much! The pictures have links though to the website it was originally pinned from, so you have the recipe, or blog, or instructions for a craft. So you decide what you are interested in, make boards for those, and then you can either search Pinterest for likely pins or you can pin items from your own favourite websites so that everything you like is in one place.
eg if you like knitting or crocheting Pinterest is awash with fabulous ideas. Sadly I can't do either!
