mrs LW - Docky is lovely
It's amazing how much dogs brighten up your life, I'm not sure where'd we be without ours0 -
Hiya.
By golly it's chilly here today. The brisk wind nearly blew me off my feet when I dashed to the post box earlier. Still holding off on the heating mostly but that last couple of nights have relented at about 6pm and allowed the house to warm up a few degrees before firmly turning it off again.
Am trying to get on with knitting for a christmas fair. I'm OK wrapped up in an old duvet but my fingers are frozen.
Mrs LW: In hope of a quicker answer than I might get from the Boss upstairs, I asked Granny God about the date of our trip to eternity. When she had stopped laughing she mopped her streaming eyes and suggested that we should all live the lives of Riley and indulge ourselves to the hilt until the 12th and if nothing happened then we should spend whatever we had left until the 22nd. On the 23rd we should all sue the pants off whoever it was started this rumour and then form an orderly queue at the Workhouse door.
Hope this helps.
Docky: Thank you for your interesting posts. If I may make a suggestion I am an absolute whizz at teaching people to read and spell. I've 40 years experience and have testimonials to prove the efficacy of my methods. Many dogs also have benefitted from my tutorials and bark warmly in appreciation. Many dogs have gone on to become famous writers. "To be or not to be. That is the question." That's from one of my ex pupils. "I wandered lonely as a cloud that drifts on high o'er hill and vale." That's another one. "There was an Old Man from Darjeeling." Yet another.
So you see how you could soon become another Poet Laureate under my guiding hand.
Stick with me son, we could really go places together.
Woof.

I done a quick skim read so ive missed the longer posts on here, I can never catch up with just coming on here of a evening, and the nights are pulling in so I tired much quicker at night, im not very good autumn/winter cos my SAD gets me badly, I lose all energy and the will to live...
Jacket tater for tea with cheese and couple slices of smoked bacon, cherry pie and ice cream.......:DNeed more comfort food to help lift my mood...:D
Weather been very nice here today apart from a wee nip in the air, still none of my trees in the garden have shed any leaves yet, mind you its not too cold, but I think frost is forcast for Saturday night....:eek:So that probaly will start them dropping off..........
Ive been buying a few extra tins of food each shop day for the store cupboard, try and keep prepared for whatever weather we get........

12 more days until I can begin buying meat again. I've bought the odd few bits and pieces like sausages and a chicken (Aldi and was off. Anyone else had problems with Aldi's chicken?)
The girls at work were telling me I'd be entered into a pension scheme but I should opt out because our wage is so low. The thing is I don't want to opt out. I have begun the private pension and putting £10 per month in (topped up by £2.50 by .... who tops it up, the government?) So £12.50 per month. I don't know how much of my wage will go in to the Council pension plan but anything will help surely. Am I allowed to have two pension pots?0 -
Mmmm Jacket potatoes...top idea :j
Done three loads of washing, lots of tidying up, and quite a lot of slamming about to make DS wake up. It's REALLY going to wind me up if he's at home all but one flaming day a week, and in bed until mid afternoon. Word in his shell-like in the offing I think.... but best done when I don't feel like decking him!
I'm about to tackle my craft making stuff cupcoard, so if you don't see me back here in oh, say three hours, send out a search party OK? I'll be under the remnants of fabric, half finished projects and knitting wool. Bring a St. Bernard with brandy please....

EMALOU - I know where I'd be without him preciesly - in my armchair and not on the floor with him smiling at me !!!!! Wouldn't be without him though.
D & DD - his little grey choppies are because he's venerable now and nearly 9, the only thing is he doesn't know it and we're certainly not going to tell him, he's our own little fruit loop.
MONNOGRAN - Hope Granny God hasn't recieved any lasting damage i.e splitting sides etc and is now fully recovered. I like the living the life of Riley idea very much and as it's kind of coming from on high via her, will obey to the letter - Thank you very much!!!!!!!

I will get my caravan0 -
Well 2 nights ago went to van to go to shift and found a flat tyre . Was at mechanics yesterday and for the cost of the service and tyre £160 . :T garage were going to charge me £250 just for the service  he contacted them for a service kit and they wanted £200 !!! He managed to get the parts for a lot less so giving someone a lift home has saved me loads
Next month he's going to put towbar on the van cos I'm buying a second hand caravan . Next year I'll be looking for places to go with it for holidays that I can take dogs ( I have 6 ATM) ranging from the smallest breed up to the largest .
I also suffer from depression and if I didn't have them I would not get up in the mornings . Each are individuals aOnd although I got them at different times they get on .
Being careful money wise and can see the light . Tomorrow I go to a fat club and on way home I do my shop . Last weeks has lasted well so hope to be on track this month - woooohoooooDate restarted DFW 30/04/16
