FUDDLE - were you the one making Dennis Healy soup for supper tonight or the one with the bendy eyebrows? If you have an eyeliner pencil about the same colour as your eyebrows, or a mascara or an eyebrow pencil (in extremis even a kiddies colouring pencil) any one of the above would cover gaps if you decide to pluck. In very OS Wartime Spirit you could try soaking a teabag in very little water for a while and see if the resulting dark liquid would darken the greying ones once it had dried, the lady on the 1940's house programme used beetroot and other deep coloured plant matter to make a hair colourant that worked, cheap if it works, cheap if it doesn't!!!! Worth a go? Cheers Lyn x.0

Those jumpers are lovely aren't they and there is something about making them yourself...however something similar is being sold at Primark at present according to their website I think it costs around £14.
I will keep an eye on the charity shops and see if anything starts to show with it coming into autumn/winter."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

With all the rain earlier in the week and talking about how to get me from A - B faster, well I've been regretting getting rid of my car to tell you the truth. I've been quipping I'm getting another one (I'm not, I don't need one but when you're dawdling in the pouring rain 'cos little one is too tired to walk, you kind of get a bit peeved!) to DH. He's rang today to say that I'm going to be thrilled, think he's the best husband ever. I said, have you got me a little car?!! :j:D He sain, nope better than that, I got you a big umbrella :rotfl: Apparently a chain company he uses rep came in to work and give him a complimentary golfing sized umbrella. So I have an umbrella covered in the works logo :rotfl: I'll match DH who has a complimentary jacket in the same design.Scroungers eh?
OH! toughie, I need to ask you. Do any of you have white eye brows growing amongst your brown/blonde? I have 4 beasties on my right eye and don't know what to do about them. If I pluck them I'll have eye brow gappage  I only seem to be going grey on my right side  :rotfl: Typical me, I can't even age properly :rotfl:
Right, I'm off. So sorry for the wafflex
Fuddle, these bits of your post made me giggle!born_blonde wrote: »Could you try eyebrow and lash dye fuddle? I've never had much success on my eyelashes but brows are easier.

they have endless free patterns and I have used their wool, which is gorgeous
BAD KITTIE! Very naughty of you to post such tempting stuff ....
I have been into town today for my eye test, I will need new glasses but I've seen some cheap ones which look just as nice as the designer types. I meant to buy a new waterproof coat but ended up buying a Nella Last book .... how did that happen?
I cycle most places, including in rush hour traffic. It can be very scary at times, but I just couldn't afford to get around otherwise. It's a great OS way of saving money on busfare!
Right, I'm going to have another cup of (Sainsbury's Basics) tea and hope my bladder holds out whilst I'm walking the dogs.
Ohhhh, I made the mistake of going into Hotel Chocolat .... they had vegan samples ..... I now have serious chocolate cravings! It's my birthday soon so maybe I can drop some hints to friends .....Aspire not to have more but to be more.

DS has just come home having made sausage plait at school. it looks delicious! Had to nick a slice. That's tea sorted. DD has gone to school and I haven't heard from her. Hoping no news is good news.
Was supposed to be in London tonight for a work's dinner with OH but we decided DD couldn't be left so I've stayed.Bought some Aldi fake Jen and Berry's ice cream to cheer myself up. We have a new Lidl opened 2 days ago so Aldi were offering £5 off a £30 shop - excellent! COuld have bought 2 ice creams and still had change!!
Might catch up with !!!!!! and do some knitting. Hmm posh london dinner and night in a hotel vs !!!!!! and knitting. Do you think this is how my life is going??:rotfl:
Off to London and beyond tomorrow to visit dad - first time i'll have seen him back home since the end of December after his long spell in hospital - so I can judge how he is. Then an "at home" day on Sunday. So much to sort out here - I wonder if I can get in the garden?
Oh well, kettle's boiled so I'll stop rambling..I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Yes indeed, it's very rare to find real vegan samples, but you'll be relieved to know none of them had the damsons or the sloes. Nuts, yes. But that's vegans for ya!Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Yes to the feeling old but I now feel even older as I just got some thermal socks from LidI, DH has remarked they look like old lady pop socks...I offered to wear them with wrinkly bits round the ankles, he didn't comment further.
Catching up with !!!!!! and crocheting was what I was doing last night, I'd prefer it anyway over a posh dinner in London cos they don't take kindly to you wearing your jimjams for dinner.

Just a wee question for those that know more than me . I use a lot of onions in cooking . Was in £idl yesterday and there was a sack of onions (5kg ) for £2 - bargain . But how do I store them so they will last the month ? I have room in a garden shed , freezer and house . Mine always seem to sprout or go mouldy . Thanks in advanceDate restarted DFW 30/04/16
