Happy birthday little... big! pic :D The coop cashminder is a very basic account, also I know Barclays do a basic account (they are all I am allowed with my financial history.) If the money isn't there, you can't use it. Also Barclays do a new thing where you can transfer money to your son via your mobile. So if dafty son (who isn't at 16 ;) ) spends it all and needs £5, he can give you a ring and ask to transfer some to him. I think Natwest do something similar.

Can't beat the spare emergency fiver in the back pocket though eh.

Ouch sunshine! Take it easy :)

With all the rain earlier in the week and talking about how to get me from A - B faster, well I've been regretting getting rid of my car to tell you the truth. I've been quipping I'm getting another one (I'm not, I don't need one but when you're dawdling in the pouring rain 'cos little one is too tired to walk, you kind of get a bit peeved!) to DH. He's rang today to say that I'm going to be thrilled, think he's the best husband ever. I said, have you got me a little car?!! :j:D He sain, nope better than that, I got you a big umbrella :rotfl: Apparently a chain company he uses rep came in to work and give him a complimentary golfing sized umbrella. So I have an umbrella covered in the works logo :rotfl: I'll match DH who has a complimentary jacket in the same design. ;) Scroungers eh? ;)

I've been to the Macmillan coffee morning today, saw DD singing. :) Spent £3 on a cake and cuppa but it's for charity. I like helping out in those kind of fundraisers. I did feel somewhat stingy when I saw the donations of £10's in the pot but at least I went and supported :)

Asda have plain long sleeve tops on for £4 each so DH is taking me to get a few for work. I am so excited. It's a start back into the real world and a step re-building again. Only 5 more months until DH's work contributes to his pension and he can begin saving for retirement too. I'm so pleased to be posting here and aware of things like this in my 30's because it's important and in RL, the subject just doesn't come up or is important enough to talk about amongst my peers.

OH! toughie, I need to ask you. Do any of you have white eye brows growing amongst your brown/blonde? I have 4 beasties on my right eye and don't know what to do about them. If I pluck them I'll have eye brow gappage  I only seem to be going grey on my right side  :rotfl: Typical me, I can't even age properly :rotfl:

Right, I'm off. So sorry for the waffle :o x
  • Could you try eyebrow and lash dye fuddle? I've never had much success on my eyelashes but brows are easier.

Fuddle I couldn't get to DS3's macmillan morning as he's home but was really pleased as one of the neighbours and a housing assoc lady came knocking with cakes for theirs so I was still able to donate :j Its such a good cause our family has been decimated by the big C so its one of my pet charities :o They helped us immensely when we lost ma and pa in law :T

    Was me I think :o

I have one white eyebrow hair - I just pluck it out ! Eyebrow pencil should fill any small gaps.

I just pluck the white ones, no one gets close enough to see the gaps.....and if they do then I'm sure it's not going to ruin their day.

Bendy veg and mixed bean chilli for tea, it's all simmering away in the SC and smells lovely.

Sunshine - take it easy, hope you're felling more comfortable soon.

Got to take DD1 for some blood tests in a mo, it's a sit and wait your turn jobbie, so will take a book, a flask, a sleeping bag.....:rotfl:

Got the kittens a new play tunnel today, all three of them are having such fun, it's hard not to smile when there's kittens in the world.

  • Hi everyone:j I am so excited. I have enrolled in a dressmaking course starting 8th of October locally, and it only costs £10. I have done different courses creative writing, history, knitting group, learned how to use a computer, etc. and now this class. I can't wait, and it will be good to get out of the home for 2 hours each week, meet other people and will do so much to lift my spirits. Just wanted to share with you all.x
Do a little kindness every day.;)

Well done Margaret. £10 is a bargain. I hope you enjoy it (how can you not ;) ) as well as learn a new skill.

Kittie, I browse that site for ages. I particularly adore the Norwegian collection and want to do this 30-1.jpg for myself so badly. My skills aren't at that level though.

I always wondered about the yarn so thanks for the good word about them.
