Thanks for the smiles tonight girls :)
    Here's another 'tooth' story.
When our girls were at the tooth fairy stage, one of the old chaps at church lost his false teeth. Our DD asked if he had put them under his pillow by mistake and maybe the tooth fairy had taken them!
Hope the job goes well, fuddle.

Black pudding is _pale_ as far as I'm concerned...really can't bear it. Won't even cook it for someone else *shudder* But I dare say there are things I eat that would make others feel the same.

Dinner tonight was "nosh" there were loads of odds and ends in the fridge and they all got laid out with bread!

I'm just sterilising the jars for my Brinjal pickle now, as I made that instead of cooking dinner. I've enough aubergines to make a second double batch, but I've run out of mustard powder...wonder if I can grind up yellow mustard seeds and use those?

Feel I didn't get much done today, but I did process lots of washing including some hand washing that had been hanging about for ages, and I did (with the help of one of the Downsizer forum members) pluck up the courage to try and shrink the felted hat the kids bought me last year, it was way to big, and tended to blow off!

I've got one piece of paperwork sitting here, and if I can get that done this evening, I'll feel that I have actually got somewhere today...so better go and tackle that!

smiley - we gave a few kittens away years ago and I got a panicked call from new owner needing vets number - he was crying down the phone panicking, I raced around and he was pointing to kittens ear, its all frayed he said. I couldnt stop laughing - it turned out to be the bit at the base of the cats ear where it divides!!:rotfl: He never lived that one down.:)

Anyone else love black pudding? I got an enormous roll from costco and it cost less than £3 and that is 4 meals for two. Lovely fried with just a tiny bit of oil and also sliced bramleys in the same pan

One of my friends always brings me back an enormous Stornoway Black Pudding when he goes home to Lewis. Last time, I discovered that black pudding and chorizo make a fantastic pasta sauce: fry off some onions and garlic, add the chorizo and black pudding, and tin(s) of tomato and some herbs and simmer for minumum one hour. It is fantastic. It also freezes well, which is a good job - as I ended up with 10 portions of the stuff, and can be cooked from frozen in the same time it would take you to heat up a jar of pasta sauce, but it tastes sooooo much better!

Glad people are having more good news than bad at the moment.
    Take care everyone
