Thecake I am sorry to hear about your cat, I know just how painful it is to have to say goodbye to a beloved pet. xxx

Has anyone heard from Shegar? Just wondering how she is going on with her husband.

Softstuff, I hope your Dad will be OK.

Westcoastscot, I already have two degrees, a BSc and a Masters. Unfortunately they are absolutely no use at all in the jobs market. My main problem is that I just don't have enough mental energy, and if I do anything that is in the least bit pressurised I fall to pieces with stress and depression. I spend a lot of time feeling like a complete wimp, it has to be said, and pretty useless to boot. I need a lot of 'down time' and unfortunately our society has no use for people like that. I doubt anyone on here is thinking, "Oh, pull yourself together, woman," but in case anybody is, I would just say, I would if I could, and I have tried! I do sometimes wonder what the point was in God giving me brains if I didn't get the wherewithal to go with them ....

Anyway, something will turn up. Kidcat, I did look for governor clerk vacancies but I couldn't find any, but it was a good idea.

It's a bit chilly. I've just been over to a neighbour's house and she had the heating on . She was only wearing a thin floaty blouse. I'm here with a long-sleeved t-shirt, cardigan and fleecy gilet. Unless we get freak snowstorms I am not putting the heating on in September! It's different if you're elderly or disabled and need warmth, but I'm sure I can manage for a couple of weeks yet! (But it was lovely to be in a warm and toasty house ..... :o). Lodger Boy is bobbing around in just a sleeveless vest ! It must be the age difference ..... :rotfl:

Lisakay I'm glad things aren't looking quite so serious now. Between you and Greyqueen I think you've suffered enough in the down below department!

:rotfl:ok shuffling...oh thats *fingers crossed* really good news :j:j :T I prescribe copious amounts of cuddles and hot water bottles all round:D

I'm just waiting for some sausages to cook, all this cutting down the cigs malarky is making me starving :o there goes my stockpile

I should do a meal and have promised myself that I would all night but it's going to be a cup a soup and I'll start a fresh tomorrow...Sausages sound nice though either in a casserole or a kind of bun...even with baked beans...

At least I can eat whenever I wish even in the middle of the night...

My fridge at present is full of various types of yogurt, they are on offer and easy to get ready and I thought I may have some for breakfast with some of those Breakfast biscuits or after my ceral and fruit or porridge...

    We'll see what happens...enjoy your snack(I'd rather have a sausage than a cigarette):rotfl:

GQ and the chardlings ... sounds like a rock group!
Feeling very sad as I have booked the vet to come on Thursday to come and put catto to sleep: he has an inoperable tumour and has been steadily losing weight. He is now very thin indeed, so I need to act before he goes weak and wobbly, as I know that will make him feel anxious. He has been a great friend and companion through some horribly tough years, and I am determined he will not suffer. I tell him every day how much he is loved.... he is very clingy now, so I think he knows.

*hugs* I'm so sorry :( Cats are the most wonderful companions and I think it's very admirable that you're doing what is right no matter how awful it must feel; I'm sure he knows what you're doing for him and he will be very grateful that you're not letting him suffer xx

Got the food shopping for the week finished today, just over £12 spent, very happy with that :T Dinner is cooking - jacket potatoes with cheese and butter and sausages (Quorn for me!) and salad :) Yum yum.

I know people mean well but I'd never say that to anyone be they ill or depressed. Mind some are just nasty and do not ccept that depression/stress exists. Hope they never suffer from it...then again if they did perhaps they'd change their views...

    I haven't seen Shegar anywhere...hope that's not bad news...

Its chilly here tonight still avoiding putting the CH on, I'll put more clothes on or get under the duvet and keep my socks on...

Who'd have thought me eating Quorn, I never had until recently but there is quite a range available now(but until I clear the freezer out a bit I have no room for it...)

I love it :) Wouldn't be quite as fun being a vegetarian without it! :p

Well, I could not tell that I wasn't eating meat and with all the other things you can mix with it and sauces its ok...and in my case I can stretch it out to make a few meals...thus the initial cost soon lost...

Even Tesco's do some meatless items of their own...
