Morning all
Off to work very soon, didn't want to just read and go...
Shegar - can only echo others' good thoughts and prayers your way and hope everything is better soon, or at least more stable. Why can't they admit him if it's so bad? Better than all the to-ing and fro-ing! on your behalf.
Forgot what else to say, black dog descending, but trying to get it to bu99er off - too much to do this week! Will get back later today with more positive things to say!
Hang in there, toughies!

Re vitamins, I think everybidy should take a good multi vitamin. I dont think we get enough from food nowadays, look at how they grow salad veg for instance. So intensive its practically all chemicals. Anything from a shop is the same, the only way you would know it was good would be to grow your own organically - and then you would need enough land to grow all your needs for the year. I think modern life has so many pollutants and chemical garbage loose in things that people's health is slowly but steadily going downhill. But that's just my opinion.
I can ask my doc to test my levels and they always come back "fine"... but if I ask for the exact numbers they can vary wildly, so that makes me wonder what "fine" actually is and how wide a margin they allow. My VitD went from being "fine" at 50 to still being "fine" at 150...0 -

Shegar sending you both all our love and positive vibes hun I totally understand what you mean, being a carer can lead to a lonely life so its so nice to be able to 'talk' to people XXX
Regarding vitamins and suchlike,
I've been using alternative remedies, vitamins, homeopathy etc for years with DS3 as I point blank refused to have him drugged as was suggested by numerous doctorsI've lost count of the number of hours I've spent trawling through books and websites looking for answers.
I believe there's a lot we don't realise about using certain vitamins, minerals and suchlike
When my son didn't have any speech I found a link between dairy and using fishoils and changed his diet to remove all traces of gluten and casein.This.. for him worked wonders.
He was also very violent and moody so we added in eyeq and vit B complex this seems to help with his moods really well.
He also takes a calcium tablet, magnesium and zinc as his restrictive diet caused an issue when he was younger with his teeth and nails (he self limits what he eats due to severe sensory issues with foods) they are really healthy now thankfully!
Wether its all coincidence I don't know but it works for us and at least I don't have the feelings of sheer helplessness like I had when he was younger.:D
Right must dash got to go picking in the garden and have a ton of tomatoes to process!
Have a great day all XXX0 -

Shegar, (((hugs))) hope it all works out xxx
I have no hope of remembering what i wanted to say to who, sorry x My brain seems to be not functioning properly.
I've had a couple of rubbishy days at work and i'm also on my second day of not smoking. I've also eaten half a traybake, a packet of biscuits and a massive plate of homemade oven chips.
Giving up is doing my weightloss no good!!! I get paid tomorrow though, so healthy snacks are on the shopping list.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts, I'm sure everything will be fine x
I'm really pleased a lot of you seem to be going for your ladies tests

Shegar: Life can be a bit-ch sometimes and your whole world seems about to collapse.
Really hope you get past this and your DH recovers quickly. Thinking of you, it puts my problems into perspective.
Lots of hugs and good wishes flying your way.Normal people worry me.0 -
Thanks, all, for the tips on clothes for DS. I will definately look at Matalan stuff and I never know that about reclaiming VAT...do you just keep the reciepts and send them in as proof with a copy of his birth certificate I wonder?
On a different tack I have just lost my Approved Foods virginity. Free postage on orders over £30 for first orders and with DD's birthday coming up the thought of giving her a sack of Cadburys Cream Eggs (10 for £1) instead of her usual posh chocolates was too good to resist. And they have a lot of good offers on rice and dried stuff atm. I even ticked the box for the £1 Goody Box though goodness knows what that's going to be like.Val.0 -
Mine was an unlucky box Val! Full of cheap junk food I'd never ever have bought. But other people have been lucky.0

One born every minute I suppose.
Anyhow, I have decided that life is way too short to be spent staring at a screen all day, reading forums and getting involved in virtual nonsense. The Fuddle/Popperwell incident and the Kittie/ignoring Popperwell (please Kittie come clean) are prime examples of why this thread keeps getting shut down. Some people seem to think they 'own' threads with is frankly nonsense. Try having a thread on your own my dear.
Anyhow the sun is shining here and autumn is almost upon us. A new start for me.
Goodbye folks0 -
