Hi, Been missing for a few days.
Another late Intro post,
I am 56 OH is 66 and retired Been married four years been together 12 years.Second marriage for both. I have three grown children all over seas.
I worked until July then lost my job. I have not been able to look for another as I had been having problems with my arm for a while and it turns out I have torn my tendon in my left shoulder so I now have to wait for surgery when ever that will be.
I love being at home fulltime, althought I have to be careful with my arm
I have started to use some of my fabric I have stored and made some placrmats and napkins. Will also make some for presents.
Also Knit, make Cards and cooking. Hope to learn to crochet one day cant seem to get the hang of it.C.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h

PAH, I was in a large T0sco on Saturday assisting Mum to turn vouchers into cat food (£30 of kitty grub for free not being something you can ignore). I also picked up a couple of bits for myself but noticed that there was only one can of the 19p tinned spuds left and that had a huge dent in the side.
I was in a Sainsbugs on Monday and bought a tray of 12 cans of a Basics product and thought the cashier might give me a funny look/ remark upon it, but nothing happened. Makes me wonder what else others are buying.
One thing is for sure; automated ordering will mean head-scratching going on in various s.m head offices if this is more than just a few people seriously storecupboarding.
Hmmm, we are living on the cusp of something unpleasant, I sense. I feels it in me watter.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I had to skip 3 pages, I cant keep up. Went up to Edinburgh for the day because we were ready to machete each other and one of us had to get out
Was good though. GQ, you know the oddest thing that I've noticed re ME and brain fog? - is that I can't knit and read. I always always used to knit and read at nights when the kids were wee, can't stand tv. But now I have to either knit, or read. Not both! And it bugs me to hell !

Oh yeah, I always used to do two or three things at the same time and now struggle to walk and talk at the same time. Maddening, isn't it?
I have bad days sometimes with the ME when I'd crawl back under the duvet if not needed to go to work. The sort of days when you're a menace to yourself; walking into the door jamb with my shoulder because I lose all spatial awareness, dizzy, clumbsy and just trying to breathe is sometimes effortful. I don't have a lung disease, it's just sometimes I'm so darned tired that breathing in and out seems like too much effort.
Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh. Watched the Tattoo with the folks last night before catching the bus back to the city and it was nice to see the castle and all that jazz. Those Swiss drummers were awesome, I was on the edge of my seat.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hi long time lurker coming out to say hello and join in if thats ok!
Im a stay at home mum to a 2 year old girl and 4(in two weeks) year old boy, and my hubby works dreadful hours so were the 3 of us an awful lot of the time!
Been trying desperately to save money for a long time now but always give in or get fed up but needs to stop as just cant afford it and tbh the whole moneysaving oldstyle stuff fascinates me I just need to give it a conscientious try!
Love these threads the support you offer each other is lovely. Kidcat like reading your posts about your family , my little boy just recently diagnosed ASD its nice seeing it so openly talked about here by such nice people, I find it really overwhelming and difficult a lot of the time feel like I want to wrap him up and keep him safe from the world finding it very hard to come to terms with tbh.
Anyway ive joined grocery challenge for sept got a budget of £200 and gonna try envelope method 1 for each week and stick to aldi. Weve also just moved got a HA house feel very lucky at low rent and awesome location lots to do with kiddie but very affluent area and lots of temptation to spend money so have to be very strict!
enough waffling gonna do some catch up!0 -

*waves at Iris and newbies*
Iris it can be really overwhelming at first but an early diagnosis is a godsend believe me as I know to my son's cost..( diagnosed finally at 5 years and 10 months)
early intervention is the key XX0 -
POPS where I live there are also incentive schemes so if you choose to downsize they actually pay you to do so and for your removals etc may be worth asking about"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
