Well look at that! All the redheads on this thread! Now since redheads are in a minority in the population at large and we have several of them on this thread, that just proves that redheads are the most intelligent, because what could be more intelligent than OS?

There's a logic in there somewhere ...... :rotfl:

Bonnie - interview is Thursday morning. Watch out for the queasy, gibbering wreck haunting this thread on Wednesday evening .....

:D How bizarre! Redheads are apparently less than 10% of the population and we've got loadsa reddies here.

Someone had a snark the other week by pointing out the the genes which cause redheadedness are recessive and thus we are on our way to extinction.

:p Totally deflated them by pointing out the same is true for blondes................:rotfl:

I will be intruiged when my hair has finished its transition to dazzling white if I will still be a redheaded spirit. Am sooo glad that of a brunette and a reddish-blond parents I inherited the hair colour and not the pale lashes and brows. Thanks, parental units, nice job. Shame about the short-sightedness, but you can't have everything.

Hey, even if you could have everything, you'd only have to dust it.

I have tea, all is well with the world. Did I tell you my new jammies are purple and black? I suspect that might be TMI. So strange to buy something from a proper (i.e. non-charity) shop.

Popperwell I agree with pooky, but I would give then a 5 minute boil in a pan of water too just to start them off as they do take a long time to cook.

I am not in a good mood here  DS's girly was made redundant twice and has had 3 jobs since, all lousy - not the job that she accepted, then not in the place she accepted but miles away at the airport (impossible to get through traffic at rush hour) and now although the new one is in Manchester city centre they have no where to eat lunch, no access to water apart from the toilet sink, has to go outside to eat and they wont honour her holiday that Gareth booked 3 weeks ago before she even applied. They say if she insists on taking the holiday they will take disciplinary action even though she will take it as unpaid leave. All they want it is to work, settle down in their own place and leave us in peace.:mad:

    Tea was nice though :)

I'm not technically a redhead but every pic of me I see lately I'm looking more and more auburn. With of course the odd silver thread running through...

    Evening everyone

Sunshine and Kitschy - I'm sorry to hear the news about your jobs. My DH is going to be in the same boat as of the end of this month, so you're not alone in the belt tightening.

Smiley - I don't often wear make up but I do wear a tiny bit for formal occasions such as weddings so I would probably do the same for an interview. Good luck with the interview; we'll all be rooting for you!

I have had the longest day ever! Well, it certainly felt that way. I was out of the office all day for a meeting and it lasted a lot longer than I anticipated. Luckily a friend was on standby to collect my big DD from school for me (she ended up keeping her 'til 6.30pm!) and my mum did the honours for little DD at nursery. I am just sooo tiiiiiired now though.

I had hoped to get the chance to nip into Mr S on my way back to pick up kilner jars and look at fleeces. I did pop in, but time was pressing so I didn't hang about for long looking for stuff. I did manage to pick up a half price acacia wood tray with 3 heart shaped dishes on it though - perfect Christmas present for one of my more tricky relatives! So I spent an unplanned £7.50 and didn't get jars or fleeces. Ho hum. Could do better.

Well, I think I will sign off now and have an early night, as I'm struggling to stay awake.

    Night night!

    Evie xx

I'm short-sighted too!! As is DD, who has beautiful long thick red hair. She is very proud of it. Her reply to a brown-haired boy who taunted her with "your hair is the colour of carrots" was "well your hair is the colour of sh*t) :o

Ginny that's outrageous, I'm angry on your behalfs  Smiley is correct in her assessment :T When DD's gf leaves, do please name and shame the company concerned :D

    I'm a redhead too...and I don't wear makeup, except very occasionally, mascara. :D

so, I would say, be natural...

Jeepers we seem to be taking over, yep I am a redhead as well although the grey is slowly making inroads - well at front but the sides are actually a lovely baby blonde. Everyone used to tell me I would never go grey but a lighter sandy colour, humph who were they trying to kid. If the front went baby blonde as well I would be happy, but three colours on one head is to much for me so I bung a dark red colour on it - nothing swish, its £1.99 from B&M and comes with conditioner and I do it when the grey really is looking to bad, although last time I noticed it was starting to be a bit more white than grey, so will see what next lot grows in as ( I did it other week before DGDs birthday party)

Thanks for the info GQ will have to maybe keep a lookout in skips as no way I am going to ask for old sofas or divans on freegle, will end up with a tip as doubt people would be happy if I asked could I just take out some wood or maybe the actual tip run by council might have some I could pick up there - not sure if ours let you buy anything, not been there for a bit, but we do have some thing we need to take down there this week while hubby is off.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch
