•Heating only just gone on and going to be going off again in about half an hour, just to take the chill off the bedroom for when I get into bed....which incidentally will not be too far away...yet again im very tired!!!
If you're planning on being a hardcore MFW, have you considered an electric blanket, or better yet a hot water bottle?0 -
now theres an idea! bf would hate an electric blanket but I do have a lovely hot water bottle I can start to utilise...thanks for the tip!!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Very productive morning at work, off to uni in about an hour and am just having a little break to try and understand my electric pricing!
I was put on to British Gas clear and simple when I moved in and having no experience whatsover with gas and electric I thought I would take a few months, submit the meter readings and then go from there. However looking at what my bills should be with other suppliers has got me thinking...looking around £20 per month cheaper.
Anyway, have posted a question over on the utilities board and hoping to understand more and then have a shop around.
Off to uni later so the car parking charge, I need to pop in to Mr T whilst there aswell as I have noticed a big stain on the top I am wearing today (i clearly wasnt awake this morning!). It was clean on but a mark on it, thinking it is from when I was icing cakes the other day and the stain being the grease from the butter cream. Going to get some vanish liquid to leave on it and hopefully remove it!
Going for dinner tonight with my friend, this was the one where I am going to try my best to take her up on her offer of paying for me....cant promise I will be able to keep to that one...really not very good at letting people pay for me!
hmm not much else to report, looking forward to pay day at the end of the month so i can do a transfer over to my savings!
Hope all are well!
oh and ps...weigh in tonight after the birthday weekend, I think it very possible I will have put the 5lbs i have lost back on:eek::eek:
Far too much booze, cake and takeaways this weekend. Back on the wagon tomorrow!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

well that was a shocking weigh in...managed to put back on the 5lbs I had lost previously .
oh well, glad i had started before my birthday or I wouldn't of had that buffer!
So now the serious dieting starts with xmas in sight!
Car park spends at Uni yesterday and had to put petrol in, even though I wanted to go until today without spending money...shifting the weekly money 'week' back to Friday gradually.
Also popped in to tesco's as I noticed a stain on a top that hadn't come out in the wash, think it was off buttercream icing so all greasy, needed to get some vanish liquid. Also had to buy some stamps and nearly fell over at the cost of them....£3 something for 6:eek::eek::eek:
Will update and have a tot up later of spends.
Went out for dinner with friend last night, was trying hard to let her pay, in the end she bought the food and I bought the drinks so came to about £7... didn't get receipt so I need to check what is in purse to figure out exactly how much I spent!
Got to pop to Morrisons later for a few bits and then hopefully a NSD tomorrow. Food shopping on Saturday this week, the idea of stocking up is looking less likely seeing as the spends yesterday...bits and peices nearing £20
:(
hope all are well xx2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Spending Diary for Week 18/10/2012 - 25/10/2012
(trying to push back to Friday to Thursday - this week increasing 1 day)
Total - £115 (inc £15pw contribution bf gives me for food shopping)
Budget
£35 - Petrol
£20 - BF's Sister (Xmas Pressie we have all clubbed together for)
£15 - Xmas Present
£45 - Food Shopping
An increase in the food shopping this week as an expensive week coming up next week (mom's birthday and a dinner out so stocking up!)
Actual
£35.00 - Mr T Petrol
£8.00 - Dinner out with friend
£8.30 - Mr T (Cleaning stuff & Stamps)
£20.00 - BF's sister
£15.00 - Xmas Present
£8.20 - Morrisons (Food Shopping)
£2.00 - Morrisons (Saving Stamps)
Total
£96.50 / £18.50 remaining
A bit of a different format for the spending diary now, I thinking putting in a budget section should help me keep focused.
Well the spends in Mr T yesterday on cleaning stuff and stamps together with paying for the drinks last night when out for dinner has kinda put a bit of a bomb on my budgeted plans!
£18.50 left and I have decided I am going to use that for the Aldi shop and then use one of the cards that I have with Morrisons savings stamps on it to buy a load of meat to stock up for a few weeks. I have two cards, one full to £100 that I am going to keep for xmas and one that has about £20 on it.
Think I will struggle to get it to any of the milestones before xmas to earn any free ££'s so just going to cash it in and use it this week. Then I still have my £100 one and may start another to get to around £10-£15ish to give the bf's sister as a contribution to the xmas dinner!
I was debating what to do with them the other day and am only going to use them to stock up anyway, if I leave both of them until xmas I wont have enough room to store all the stuff I would buy!!
I have just been to morrisons and stocked up on pork steaks (£1 a pack) and some venison meatballs (low fat) ....hoping to have a freezer full of meat by the end of the weekend!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

no more spending yesterday...phew!!
Bad news is I forgot my breakfast this morning, so promptly ate my sandwiches (that were meant for lunch) when I got into work this morning for my breakie!!
Oh well, going to do the Morrisons shop (saver stamps) at lunchtime today so i will pick something up for lunch then!!
Soooo glad it is friday, lots to do at work...so if you see me on here again before at least 3pm tell me off!!! Hoping to do all work today so I dont need to bring any home with me over the weekend!
Hope all are well and looking forward to 5pm today!!!xx2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32
