    Ohhhh, I like!!!

Can you tell me where to get the foam roses? I'm guessing Hobbycraft or the like?

Did you use an instruction guide or "just tied" them?

    Thanks!

I got mine from a seller called Sara Richards on eBay, a couple of people on here recommended her to me. There are quite a few sellers on eBay who sell the foam roses in bunches that you can separate out. Most of them have good ratings.
There are also a couple of sites on the web that sell them.
I'm not sure if Hobbycraft do foam roses although I think they do silk flowers, the same with places like Dunelm.
Country baskets also sell foam roses as well as silk flowers. I believe a few people on here have used them and found them very good. They have a few stores dotted around and a website.

They are really easy to make, I just looked a pictures of artificial bouquets for sale on line to get an idea of how many I would need then just kinda bunched them together in increasing circles. It requires a bit of rearranging but it's not difficult. I wrapped some tape around them once I was happy with the shape then I wrapped some lilac ribbon around the stems.

    hope this helps

    xx

Hi everyone, Im a florist, have been doing floristry for 10 years now and Im just starting up a new business, The new businness is mainly based on holding floral workshops that allow customers to learn how to deign and create their own wedding flowers and buy everything they will need for their big day at extreemly low costs much cheaper than a florist would be able to sell flowers. As well as that I will provide on going free advice and guidence right up untill the big day ! Was just looking for some feedback,:j many thanks

Has anyone has any problem with foam flowers? I've been advised against them as apparently they can crease, unlike silk ones...

I'm not sure if I'll be brave enough to do my own but some of you ladies have made lovely bouquets!

I would have thought foam would have creased less than silk - I certainly didn't have any problems with mine and if you look on the first page of the DIY wedding thread you will see I had my bouquet, flower girl wands, table decs and even family corsages all made from foam roses and they were brilliant - everyone thought they were real until they took a closer look :rotfl:

100% recommendation for foam from me:T

Ok thanks. Just a lot of eBay sellers have put 'I don't use any cheap foam which will ruin etc etc...it's all 100% silk' Will definitely go for foam then!

Louise you've helped so much with our wedding - have stalked the craft bits for ages before actually posting. Loved your wedding toppers!

:rotfl:They got a lot of chuckles on the day - I still have them in my cabinet, DD loves looking at them. :j

Seriously though, you will be fine with foam. Perhaps the sellers are trying to encourage more people to use the silk ;) but the best testament I can give you is that I took one of the table decs to a relatives grave after the wedding and the foam flowers survived 18months - only the 3 major snowfalls this winter have managed to finish them off.

If that's not tough for a fake flower then I dunno what is :rotfl:
