If I bought it I would want to try to get a 2 storey extension on the side with access off the hall however this may be tricky as the plot looks quite narrow. Would a loft conversion be possible?
Can you see what any of the neighbours have done? No 4 Lake Farm Cottages sold for £430k in Aug 2010 so I assume it has been extended at some point or was overpriced or no 2 is underpriced!
Good thinking about researching no.4. They can't really be compared, though, as they are a different style of house, and no.4 is a 4 bed with 2.5 acres of paddock as well. I'm pretty sure no.4 has been extended out to the side, but its hard to tell on streetview, but as you say, no.2 doesn't really seem to have enough space for that. I guess the conservatory could possibly be knocked down and a 2 story extn done out the back? I agree that ideally I'd like the bathroom moved upstairs.
I must say that I'm really taken with it, but am worried by the lack of space.0
