Have you seen this one?
Another bungalow on a large plot that needs work. At 350k though you would have a bit more scope to do things with it. I really like the walled garden and the road looks nice although perhaps a bit close to the M23.

Not in my book.
There would seem little point at all in having the asset of a large garden, if one would be subjected to a constant traffic din while attempting to enjoy it.
I'm not familiar with the prices in that area. £350k seems quite a lot of money, however.0 -

Yes, and although the lane itself looks quite pretty, a quick look at streetview shows what appears to be "mixed" neighbouring properties (eg a haulage place?).0 -
I admit I hadn't looked at streetview and certainly wouldn't fancy being close to a haulage yard
Regarding traffic noise, if you've got planes flying over at all hours I would have thought a bit more 'din' wouldn't matter much! Not saying it would be perfect for me, just that overall I prefer it to the other choices.....
However, we live in the countryside with a reasonably good sized garden for a village location (1/4 acre aporox) but also front onto an 'A' road.......we don't notice traffic noise whilst in the garden at all - or rather we wouldn't if we ever got to sit out there in all this rain
My SIL used to live very close to the M27 and I thought traffic noise in her garden was pretty bad, but apparently they got used to it and didn't pay any regard to it after a while.......
Traffic/aircraft noise is the compromise you have to make to get a decent sized house/garden in that area I suppose......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

This would still concern me - I want to be able to enjoy the garden and might get used to the noise, but I'd also want visitors to be able to enjoy the garden and they're a lot lot less likely to get used to it!You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0
