Which of the following houses do you like best?

3 or 4, love the size and blank canvas of 3 but 4 is a really nice ready made homeLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0

I'm not a fan of house 3 like others here, regardless of the rooms it just feels a bit dingy and the ceilings seem low (apart from the hallway one)? It may just be the camerawork, but it would put me right off because you couldnt change that with a lick of paint.
i actually dont mind 2, I like the garden...as a couple of the others look a bit overlooked...and it seems to have quite cool bedrooms with the little alcove bits to have as dresing areas/ study areas perhaps?0 -
I like house 1 and 4 they are lovely!!

The inside of 4 probably looks the nicest decor however I wouldn't consider this property from looking at the immediate properties ie the house next door (left as you are standing outside) and the one directly across the road also the electricity generator thingy directly across the road is a definite no no for me and these are all things you have to consider from a prepspective buyers point of view when reselling - if it's something I notice just from looking at the pictures as enough of a negetaive not to even go and view then other people might be thinking the same.
3 looks the most interesting to me however looking at the floorplanI would swap the kitchen and the dining room around, closing (what would now be ) the kitchen off from the living room and access from the hallway instead. Would also look at making the shower room an en suite to the bedroom next door to it and possibly making that the master.
What might put me off this property though is if I had young children as I wouldn't really fancy them walking along this lane alone in the darker evenings.
Just my thoughts.................0 -

Another bungalow on a large plot that needs work. At 350k though you would have a bit more scope to do things with it. I really like the walled garden and the road looks nice although perhaps a bit close to the M23.

The garden looks lovely but too many rooms off of rooms for my liking.0 -
By the looks of it, it's an old plant nursery, currently being used 'alternatively,' with an unknown future, planning-wise.
It's a plant hire place.
Back to the bungalow: 2/3 acres = space to park 160 cars (say 150 with an office). 150 spaces @ say £60 per week = £9k per week potential revenue.

I don't really like the one in Peeks Brook Lane, the layout doesn't do anything for me, and that location has very loud motorway noise AND its right under the flightpath as aeroplanes take off, so its really, really noisy. Whilst we're fairly open to some noise, the noise there would be too extreme for us.
I've found another house that I like http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-21776415.html
In many ways this house is so much less than the other houses that I've linked to, but in other ways its so much more. The location is fantastic and rural, there is motorway noise, but at a bearable level (and we prefer motorway noise to aircraft noise tbh, as I think it would be easier to get used to a constant hum than regular sudden loud noises), its on the outskirts of Bletchingly, which is a charming village, and the price would mean we have money to play with.
But, its so small. It's about the same size as our existing house. I'm wondering though whether it would be a lovely interim house. The setting and the style is very "us" as is the location. We're a family of four (and no intention of growing our family) so in theory, there is enough room, but we'd really only be moving for the style and location of the house and a better garden than our current one, no other gains. Anyone got any bright ideas about how we could extend to get more space? Or what about a big home office in the garden, with a sewing room for me and a playroom for the children. Hmmm, I'm actually really tempted by this teeny house, which stikes me as being completely impractical since its so small, yet feels the best fit for us...

It looks very pretty and the location is very nice however not having an upstairs bathroom would put me off.
If I bought it I would want to try to get a 2 storey extension on the side with access off the hall however this may be tricky as the plot looks quite narrow. Would a loft conversion be possible?
Can you see what any of the neighbours have done? No 4 Lake Farm Cottages sold for £430k in Aug 2010 so I assume it has been extended at some point or was overpriced or no 2 is underpriced!0
